Fish Hotel Kaohsiung

The staff was super friendly and helpful, the hotel's facilities were super clean, hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Kaohsiung Station, and the hotel rooms are very spacious.

The hotel did not provide a safe at the room, and there were very limited western dishes for breakfast.

The hotel wasn’t super fancy but it got the important things down. Comfortable bed, spacious shower with good water pressure, and reasonable check in and check out time. Also gave us extra pillows when we asked!

Here is my review . I got this booking. From the website from booking.com and they provide me a free room upgrade to an executive suite which surprised me.The room is big and spacious , got the bathtub and take a good hot bath. And the tv have many channels to see.The location is near Kaohsiung Train Station and have quite a variety of choice for public transport, and it is a walking distance to Liuhe night market who will like to drop by there to have a bite.It is also a walking distance to a 7-11 which is convenient for people who like to make a small purchase for essential.They even provide a gym and breakfast buffet for people who like to eat at hotel.

What I didn't like is,1. The breakfast choice is limited and there is not much selection available for people to choose.2. The gym facilities is kind of rundown and the treadmill seem to be not able to run safely due to the unstable track.3. The gym opening hour is 9.30am to 9pm which is kinda of odd as usually people prefer to gym in the morning before breakfast when we are travelling.4. Unwilling service, we request a late checkout for 15 mins but the staff ask if late checkout must pay another 800ntd for an hour extension and the price is ridiculously high.

The location is very close to Kaohsiumg station. Breakfast is excellent, variety of food .

Very late check in at 3 PM, however early check out at 11 AM.

Great location 10 min walk from main station and a tourist night market. All the 4 star amenities, although not a brand new hotel. Excellent value for money.

The team members working on the afternoon we checked in (Tuesday 27th August) were exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. They are a great asset to this business. Great value for money

Limited breakfast options.

Good value for money especially the Executive Suites. Plenty of space. The deluxe room is a bit small. Good space for working. The location is excellent, close to metro and Kaohsiung main station. Comfortable bed and not noisy.

The breakfast variety could be better. But considering the hotel rate, it is very good. Other than that, I think it is a great hotel to stay! Highly recommended to stay in Kaohsiung.

Nice location n environment

The bed sheet and pillow cover are not very clean. When I first open the door at Room 901, the smell of the room wasn't great. Hope next time the operator can look into this. Thank you

Location is quite convenient. A few minutes walk to Kaosiung Station.

Decorations is dated. Pillows and beds are not comfortable.

Top luxury for fair prices. Huge bedrooms, near Railway station. Very good taiwan breakfast.

Decent location close to mrt. Staff were helpful and English speaking.Nice looking hotel.

Rooms can have limited space and no wardrobe, check when booking. Dusty surfaces in rooms.Shower had bad sewerage smells coming from drain and had some mould.Also there were marks on the linen and pillows smelled strongly of bleach. Be careful if your skin is sensitive to bleach.

The décor was beautiful and on theme. Location was close to perfect, a few minutes' walk from Kaohsiung's main station. Comfortable furnishings in the room.

Fridge wasn't working when I checked in so I had to get someone to check it out (problem was fixed eventually). The air-conditioning dried the air in the room so much I came down with a slight cough.

It's near the MRT station and the night market. The staffs are great as well.

It's obiviously an old hotel renovated, the design is so so but the biggest problem is ventilation system. Somehow it just has an old buliding smell. And it's not chill enough when we return from outdoors but too cold when we slept at night. The value for the hotel does not mach the room it provided.

It was not too far from Kaohsiung main station and the room was comfortable and clean.

The room without windows has a nasty smell (might be due to lack of ventilation?), the room we were initially allocated was down and they did a prompt service recovery and moved us to a bigger room.

Locarion. It was between the Kaohsiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard Station. The Liouhe Night Market was within walking distance as is eateries and tourist bus stops. It is a long way to the Formosa Boulevard lift if you need to go there with suitcases. It is also a relatively far distance to haul luggage on pavement to the nearest airport bus stop.

I had a mixed bag for service.1. I emailed the hotel 3 times before ordering and paying for something to be delivered. I only needed them to accept delivery. 3 times, I was asked and told the same thing that they would only accept if I had prepaid the items, to which I replied in the affirmative.2. I asked reception for an estimate cost for a taxi ride to Kaohsiung airport. I was directed to ask my question to the driver instead. Also, when I asked mh faulty WiFi, I was just told to connect to another room's WiFi and that there wasn't anything they could do to correct any issues.3. While it is clean, the towels seem to be the sort that made you feel even more wet as you dried yourself off, and the air-conditioning system is old and has a smell.

All was good. We had a bigger room that was very comfortable. Great bathroom. Coffee bar inside the room. Good Asia breakfast with some sweet continental components.

Bit less AC in the breakfast room and a latte macchiato or at least warm milk, would have been great. But that’s not a big thing.

Location is close to metro around 6 minutes. Close to the night market.

The room smell not nice.
