Wen Pin Hotel - Pier 2

Location is good, just outside of train station and very close to pier 2.

Very outdated building.

Good location by pier, friendly staff, free parking (although very tight garage that is hard to maneuver in)

Although room felt clean overall it was dated and the bathroom smelled a bit musty, AC barely worked so wouldn’t recommend if you prefer a cool room, beds were extremely soft

So dirty. Shower full of mold. Dusty floors. Window facing dark interior. Disgusting old bathroom. Very dated furniture that doesn’t match. Smells bad.

The hotel is located just 2 min walk from Pier 2 and 5 from the MRT station. Perfect for visitors who like the harbour or want to take the ferry to Qijin beach

I was fortunate to have an excellent room with a big window facing the front. My bicycle was safely tucked away in the parking garage and I was happy to have a nice tub to soak in after a long day cycling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a free washing machine on the 6th floor (buy wash soap from the desk $30, the dryer cost $50) - all very helpful when cycling Route 1! I did not pay for the breakfast as they only had a couple of options delivered from an outside facility, but there are tons of local options including the 7-Eleven across the street. Though the hotel is a bit older, the room was clean and comfortable and location was very good. There were no noise issues the weekend I was there.

A small request: it would be helpful if there were a water dispenser on each floor.

I like the friendly staff and clean rooms here. What's even better is the excellent location. It is very close to public transportation, just a 2-3 minute walk away. It is also close to Pier 2, which is very lively during the day.

The location near Pier 2 was good.

We paid in cash what we were requested for eight days and received a receipt. The next day the front desk phoned and told us we owed additional money. We didn't like the room because it was cold, damp, sewer smell, electric wires not covered in two places in the shower. Eventually, we paid the additional fee they demanded but requested and received a "better" room. Not a 4 star hotel at all.

Hotel close to Pier 2 venues , plenty of hip hop dancers and local bands.Loved the food stalls at Edgewater Night Markets.

Restaurant was closed during our stayed, enjoyed the breakfast.

It’s 3 star, not 4 star as shown here. It should be 2Everything is extremely old and run down. The air-con in our room didn’t work and we haven’t slept well. The electric door-lock is old and took a few minutes to open every time. It was not so clean either

Lovely room. Safe place to put our bike. Very friendly staff. Helpful when we wanted to extend for one more night !

Friendly staff - good first impression. More than enough English for those like me who need it.Great location, close to Kaohsiung redeveloped waterfront area with access from MRT and LRT.Hotel was easy to find. Room was comfortable - a bit dated but fine for a short stay. My room had a fridge and large window .. with a great view of the 7-11 right across the street (that's a great feature right there!).

Walls are pretty thin - not great for light / early sleepers - hotel had noisy guests while I was there. Possibly noisy guests a lot of the time. Frequent travellers can draw their own conclusions.

Great location, helpful staff. Was a high end hotel, now a little old, but still well maintained.

Attention some rooms have no outside windows, only looking inside a windowless shaft. The beds are comfy but a little short.

The hotel is located close to a metro station.

The room rate is poor value for the size of the room and the fact that breakfast is extra. The room fittings are worn and the hotel needs refurbishment. More importantly, the welcome and attitude of the staff needs improvement. There are more modern hotels in the area for the same rates with breakfast included.

Location is great close to pier 2 and in front seven eleven. Free parking ( small). Comfortable bed. Staff tried to help us, but communication in English was very hard. Staff contacted us about some clothes forgotten in the wardrobe and we went back to collect them. Thank you. We used the free laundry machine and paid for the dryer. They are very old.

Hotel needs a renovation urgently. Room is old and window is facing another room. There is no natural light and the room is dark. No window in the toilet. Very old bathroom. Chairs are so old and not comfortable. There were no towels in the bedroom when we arrived. We asked for the towels at reception but they didn’t understand. So we waited for another lady that could speak English. Water was leaking on the corridor close to the laundry and in the garage.

Not the newest but great location, clean and everything you need

I actually expected a newish hotel given that it is in redeveloped dock area, but not it has obviously been there for quite some years. But extremely comfortable, big room with a great bed (we may have been upgraded for some reason). And very nice staff and service. Breakfast (included) was excellent!! - see pic. Perfect location near pier, entertainment, metro station, with little supermarket type food shop nearby.

Large room and bathroom. On-site parking and great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Daily cleaning.

Windows faced a wall resulting in no natural light, which is a shame.

The staff were incredibly kind and the location was convenient. Right next to the pier.

The bathroom had a myriad of issues. The water pressure was very poor which is difficult for a day after the beach.
