Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel

Excellent new hotel with very comfortable beds. The attached shopping mall was very convenient as well. The restaurant buffet was excellent and by far the best one we had in Taiwan.

The breakfast on the 9th floor is fabulous. There are plenty of options to satisfy all, from decadent to healthy options, from Asia to the west; I have never been more proud of being Taiwanese whenever I get to enjoy a hotel buffet in Taiwan; even more so when I get to watch the look of wonder in foreign guests' faces.

There is nothing that I did not like.

The facilities are are absolutely gorgeous. The pools, gym and room are nothing but the best, then when you think it can’t get any better the staff are the best customer service reps in the world. My hat goes off to you all, well done.

Disappointed. Hundred guests sharing the same jar of jam, disgusting, cheap. Lucky butter don't have to share. No ham or sausages. Not qualified for an American b'fast . Compare with Sharton or Hilton hoel, Marriott is down graded by its buffet breakfast. There are little ? flies flying in the dessert section. Except the size of rooms ,swimming pool area and body massage service qualified to a 5 stars standard hotel. O, forgot; bell boys are excellent and provides good service.helping a lot ?

Marriott Kaohsiung offers excellent facilities and attentive service. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable layout and a beautiful view. Guest service was consistently impressive.

However, the breakfast and M9 dinner buffet were disappointing and did not meet the high standards typically associated with Marriott.

The location; though within walking distance to the subway, found lacked some more choices for western food restaurants.

Connecting with one of shopping mall, easy to get some foods or things to buy. And the Chinese restaurant in the hotel was good, the chef is super friendly.

*** Need to improve in 12FThe staff in 12F SPA Pool need to be more professional with need-to-retrain English skills to be more polite to customers, particularly in executive class. The action of rejected customers asking for help with unprofessional English while just playing with her mobile phone was unacceptable (April 4, 2025, during the 3pm to 5pm session). Furthermore, as I asked about massage service in 1F front desk, the staff told me there is no massage service in the hotel, so I need to walk into the SPA Center in 12F and booked by myself. Marriott is a world-class hotel, so the staff need better training in communications with foreign customers, not just with the ones who can speak Chinese.

Disappointing

I do not like the location and not restanant around, not convenient. The cost is too much high than what they can provided.

The hotel is linked to the E Sky Mall, which houses a great food court and a wide array of restaurants. The room is spacious and the bathroom is well equipped with a bath tub, a shower and an electric toilet bowl. The hotel is within walking distance to a light rail station and a subway station. The room is very quiet. The staff are nice and helpful. It is only hotel I have ever stayed which provides decaf drip coffee in the room.

There is a building under construction next to the hotel and we can see some workers on the rooftop, so we need to lower the curtain most of the time during our stay. The E Sky Mall is a convenient short-cut to the light rail and subway stations behind the hotel, but the mall is only open from 11am to 10pm, so unless you take a taxi or call a uber car, you need to walk around the huge hotel-mall complex to the front door of the hotel during non-opening hours of the mall. The hotel also needs to vacuum clean the carpet and floor more often.

Cleaning staff were exceptional, friendly and good at there job.

The rooms were spacious and conveniently located next to a mall with a food court. Also, located next to a Costco.
