Hotel Riviera Macau

The hotel was clean and the location was good.

Hotel staff need to be more friendly and smile more.The hotel hallways smells cigarette smoke.

Room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the quiet neighbourhood and the 10 minute walk to several restaurants weren't an issue at all.

Bathroom is a bit dated and corridors smelled of cigarette smoke. Rooms were fresh though.

no separate shower cubical, the bath-tub too narrow and high, very inconvenient for seniors to get in/out, and the TV's remote control out of function.

Rooms were clean

Staff is very incompetent, not only did they fail in arranging transportation but they were also incredibly arrogant basically mocking us because we are tourists. In addition to that there was a No. 8 typhoon happening during the last day of our stay and they kicked us out, leaving us stranded in Macau. Definitely would not recommend especially for the price.

Clean room with good space and bathtub. Jerry who was in the morning is friendly and help us for checkout and booking their private car.

The location is not recommended if you have Seniors. Walking is hard high elevated area. The rrception chinese girl was not friendly and very rude. The hotel is misleading booked 7 people with breakfast but gave us only 6 meals. I paid the price higher than the date price. Hard to find the free shuttle going back. Not recommended very stressfull check in .I ask what for the price match on the date but did not allowed. Ask for the 1 person breakfast but want to pay extra even included in the booking. No reply from customer service after check in. Worsed hotel i ever stay for customer service.

The place and the rooms are very nice.

The location is difficult for people who do not know how speak the language because cabs and buses do not pass by.

Value for price, staff are friendly and approachable. But do take note that it's uphill. But they have stunning view of Macau Tower.

Nicely decorated in Chinese style . Big rooms. Nice balcony with sea view. Very quiet and clean neighbourhood overlooking historic buildings.

The toiletries are not complete, they only prepare a set for 1.

Not an ideal place to stay.

We booked for triple room and a twin bed.After we arrived, we were told that the rooms will be in different floors. Booking.com should inform us about this issue. We are travelling as a family and it is not convenient and for safety issues, we wish to be in the same floor. The reception staff talked us into getting another room so that there will be a bed for each one of us, in the same floor. When we went up the second floor, the triple bed and twin bed (which we initially booked) were actually there. The beds were enough for 6. That was a waste of money having to spend for another bed (King size bed). I could not sleep the whole night. I was in the twin room sharing with my grandson. The bed I occupied was terribly smelt damp due to molds.

Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location, close to old town attractions.

House keeping seem to be a bit off. The room wasn't made up enough in the consecutive days.

I requested room move view of the macau tower with pay 100 mop and i ask the reception to help me move my two bags to the new room, however in the night i received a call rudely asking me to go back and why i left my two bag in the room 3009, even though i explain my current situation and i handover to the reception my two bags, she keeps interrupting me that is not their concern and claiming that the hotel is fully book. I try to convince the reception that i cant come right away due to my current location is too far, and she insist that i go back and asking me what time? What time?, while I’m speaking, when i tell i can come to the hotel within 30 mins she said no we are fully booked! So i immediately came back to hotel via taxi, since its a family trip i tried not to cause a seen, the riviera hotel management should take investigation regarding this matter for now will not recommend this hotel to my friend or family.Room 3038

Favourable location that makes old and new Macao easy to reach and at the same time not in the crowded parts of the town.

The location is away from the city center in a nice, quiet residential neighbourhood but is still walkable to many tourist sights.

It is in the middle of an extensive renovation so the outer walls were wrapped up like a parcel. The hotel assigned us one of the few rooms that wasn’t and it even had a terrace.

The concierge lady was really helpful and friendly. Kudos to her my average stay ended with some good impression.Other staff were generally helpful.Hotel has chargers on loan should you forget to bring one. Love that service.

The hotel is not easy to walk to/from everything else. Its on top of a slope.

Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The location is also good and you can easily get there by public transport or walking.

Towels were very small. There’s no view.
