Hotel Tropiq

Lovely pool area and spa, nice and relaxing. Great location to town, within easy walking distance.Shop and food outlets close by Staff were very, very accommodating and helpful, especially when we had a wee accident smashing glass on the floor. Did also provide cups, bowls and plates etc so we could dine in a bit for breakfast. Super powerful shower and hot water. Would definitely stay again without a doubt. Thanks for having us both.

Noisy neighbours above scrapping chairs on the floor at 2am. Probably didn't realise how it sounded from below though.Pool area needed a wee bit more love, care and attention.Car parking a bit of a squeeze at times.

Great pool and grassed bbq area with children's playground. Close location to Cairns CBD including esplanade and restaurants.

Uncomfortable bed and pillows, too much light shining through curtains, no PowerPoint near bed. Very limited on site parking. Noisy.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was really great and we took a dip quite often. Unfortunatly the towles very a bit smelly. The rest was great.

I really loved the friendly staff, how tidy and clean the room was and the pool was amazing me and my family didn't have to go to a swimming spot or at the lagoon. Other than that everything was great thank for having me and my familyI will definitely be booking more often at tropiq

I like staff operation they were so kind and friendly, my kids love the area plus the BBQ and pool and the cold aircon in the rooms and plus it's not fair from the shops and Cairns central's good place nice spot

Aircon very disgusting and not cold enough. Very strong smell of bleach. Can’t stay inside for a long time make me sick. And at night can’t sleep because of the strong smell.

Staff are the best they know everything about the area and take great care about safety and security so everyone can enjoy their stay

For the price you can’t complain

We were travelling and just needed somewhere to rest for the night. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom clean and the water was hot. There was a pool and BBQ area which looked good although we didn't use it. The accommodation was older than expected but for the price was fine. The Indian restaurant, which was walking distance from the motel was brilliant! Some of the best Indian we have tasted. We like chilli, so it could have been hotter but the flavours were awesome!! There was a bottle shop close by, and the city centre was relatively close as well.

The toilets had poo stains! The bedding smelt bad. The room itself smelt bad. The experience wasn't great at all!

Door lock not working. Chain on door too long making easy entry. Toilet faulty. No ceiling fan in bathroom. TV control extremely difficult.

The staff were so amazign and helpful. Rooms were fairly standard but extremely clean and comfortable. $100 for a night but I booked unde a week before I stayed close enough to the airport which is what I needed. Only 15 minute walk to Cairns Central shopping centre. A little too far from the city but cheap ubers for that.Free WiFi. Pool. BBQ. Amazing

Cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean.

It's a cheap hotel, so set your expectations accordingly.

It was not a very pleasant stay.

Everything in the room was very old and dated starting with the fan and AC, and we stayed there in the summer so it never really got any colder, it was very uncomfortable to sleep, plus the beds were not very comfortable. There were also small roaches in the room and when we reported it they just said that it was the season.

Value for money for a roof over your head. Not a fan of cockroaches and ants crawling around beside me though. My double bed was broken by the sound it made and sagged in the middle. Suitable though for budget travellers.
