Location and view

Nothing that can be done about it but the view straight in to other apartments from 2 of the rooms... maybe done sort of thin curtain so you don't have to change in the dark

We arrived a little later than check in. I had sent a message and we were following email instructions when the apartment manager came down and helped us. Great service and excellent property. Great location too.

Location and view out over Inlet. Short distance to and from lift.

Awful noise each morning early as the rubbish skip is emptied into a garbage truck.

Beautiful spacious apartment with plenty of seating and room for a large family. The view was excellent and the facilities were really well though about. I lied the large size dining table and the large kitchen. We also used the gym and the pool which were very clean and in great condition. The decorations in the apartment were simple and nice, which made it feel open and clean, but added a nice touch. (I dont like the clutter look!)The patio was well used as the view was great and the furniture practical (for eating and for socialising.)

There needs to be a stocktake on missing everyday items. We only had 5 coffee cups, so perhaps checking the items people may use or break. 7 plates but 8 chairs, etc. Some frying pans may need replacing. I wish the couch had a higher back (even though it is in excellent condition) and there was another TV to use. Garbage truck collection downstairs in the early morning was not great - so loud! It echoed up to our bedroom and woke us up. But we like sleep ins on holidays.

Location, space, condition of the flat

Great location with water views close to the brewery and walking distance to lots of dining options. Great trip away with the grandkids.

Staff went out of there way to be helpful and accommodating. Very clean and comfortable. Spacious with great views. Very well stocked kitchen which included cleaning products. Excellent laundry facilities.

Pool isnt heated but this wouldn't matter on a hot day. No gym access due to covid19. Airconditioner in bedroom noisy.

room 601 was superior to 80?

601 was more spacious and better furnished

Position. So close to Cruise terminal , easy walk to everything- Casino, Boardwalk, lagoon , night Markets and Aquarium

All the rooms had good view through window, and most of the attraction were in walking distance.

It was within easy walking distance to attractions and marina and Esplanade restaurants

The door when you opened shower in ensuite hit the toilet as not enough room and also the clothes dryer in the laundry was on an angle which looked like it was about to fall off the wall and you couldn't close the laundry door

Great accommodation large spacious friendly staff

The location of the apartments is fantastic. The view of Trinity Inlet was absolutely amazing. The staff were so helpful and responsive to our requests. We could walk everywhere - restaurants, shops, supermarket, the Reef Fleet terminal. This is now our favourite place to stay in Cairns, without doubt.

The beds! We understand that each apartment is privately owned and this comment does not reflect at all on the wonderful location and staff of Jack & Newell. The owner of 1204 just needs to splash a little cash on the very lovely, spacious apartment they own. The bed in the master bedroom was truly dreadful - incredibly hard and pretty old. The staff got us a new mattress topper, which helped soften the blow, but it was pretty rough in general. The A/C units are pretty old and made some strange clicking noises throughout the night. The old toaster kept tripping the electrics in the apartment and died on day 2 (again, Jodie and her team came to the rescue within minutes with a brand new toaster!) and some of the bedside lamps were broken and/or old and dirty. When we arrived and started unpacking, there were only 10 coat hangers across 3 big bedroom closets, which wasn't enough (Jodie solved this immediately, bringing us armfuls of extra hangers). Some of the balcony furniture was broken and unsafe to sit on. The kitchen was very basically equipped - adequate but not brilliant - and the very worn, peeling sofa was fit for the tip! Again - this is all down to the money the owner is willing to invest in their property and nothing could detract from the brilliant location & view and the truly amazing efforts of the staff to make us feel completely at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for everything Jodie!

The view was fabulous, close to eateries, great coffee nearby and the supermarket not far away. The room had everything we needed and extremely clean, which is huge for me!
