The staff was great, really helpful and nice. Location is amazing, right in front of the Ocean, in front of the Lagoon pool also and near many restaurants, malls and supermarkets.

We stayed in a private room, it was clean and the staff were amazing!

That the private room was not clean daily hovered.

Just on the Esplanade, walkable to Reef terminal, resturants nearby

For the price, rooms were not congested. Attitude of staff can be better

Could be humid in the room

The staff at Global Backpackers were friendly, professional and helpful. The location is OPTIMUM. The kitchen facilites are superb - amply provided with cookig/baking appliances, cookware, cutlerty, crockery, refrigerated room. Their rooftop area was such a delight. There were ample quiet and comfortable lounging areas on every floor with comfortale couches. Laundry with clothesline and storage facilities were available.

The bathroom is adequate but the room was small, had only hangers (no closet) for clothes. It was quite cramped for two persons and their 2 luggages!

Facility is in excellent condition and being well maintained. It’s a walk in fridge with plenty of space. Kitchen is huge.

Some other guests are pigs. The boys on the first floor pee on the seats and don’t clean up after themselves. Many can’t go without their music playing loudly for more than a few minutes. But that’s not the facility’s fault.

Fantastic place to stay. Very safe and friendly environment. Wonderful room. Kitchen area was excellent too.

The room has a really bad musky smell. The ventilation is bad. The room is good size but no place to put tower.

Great location, especially during NYE fireworks!! Very clean kitchen and bathrooms. Some common areas to hang out.

Rooms could be cleaned a bit more often, especially the floors (a lot of hair on the floor from previous guests).

Good location. One staff member was great. Good sized kitchen.

The so called ‘night manager’ was not helpful. The reception closes very early at 6 so the whole check in process after that not ideal to any traveller without an Australian number. I knew exactly what to do but without signal or WiFi it’s quite hard to make a WhatsApp call.Rooms very very small and it’s hit and miss if the kitchen will be clean or not.

Had the 4-bed dorm for myself.Fully equiped private bathroom in some of the rooms.Really great kitchen and rooftop terrace on the top level.

The AC has a timer set to around 12 h. At least turning it off and back on resets the timer.Weren't able to open the windows to get fresh air in.

Location and the modern facilities

For a hostel, it is probably the best hostel experience I've had. The staff are lovely, there are many well lit spaces to chill and hang out with others in the hostel. It was cleaned daily, but I think the many friends I made during my stay was the highlight. Location couldn't be more central.

Some of the furniture in common rooms and lounges could be updated, but otherwise great experience

Staff was very helpful! It was nice being so close to the pier for snorkeling

It is very busy at the entrance to the hostel and sometimes i felt unsafe. The kitchen fridge had a smell.

Perfect Stay

If checking out of office hours you might have to carry your luggage via stairs, which could be tricky. In our case doing it early morning.

I didn’t manage to check in i get stranded with the storm. Road close because of flood.

Didn’t give me the refund.

Beautiful room with balcony. I was comfortable and safe

Would have liked a kettle for tea...kitchen was closed when I wanted a drink.. As I paid $174 a night a kettle would have made life better. Otherwise the room was perfect.

the staff were friendly and very helpful. My tokm was clean and tidy, the shared facilities were also. It's in a great location central to everything. Plenty of good places to eat and drink in the area, view of the lagoon from my balcony and the large communal one on the 4th floor.

there was only one iron in the place and you couldnt get access to it after 7pm when the reception shut.

we couldn’t open the window in the dorms, it was humid and not very comfortable with smells.

Very chill and clean hostel.

My only issue was that the kitchen closes at 10 pm, and that the common areas are not air conditioned.
