Plenty of room, short walk to marina, and friendly staff.

Lovely big, clean rooms.

The stairs and the pool burnt the kids eyes

Centrally located. Walking distance to Esplanade and Cairns Central.

Could do with a bit of renovation.No lifts.

It was huge! Two bedrooms with two bathrooms and laundry. Super clean.

No lift but thank goodness we were only on the second floor. Front office was rarely open.

It was clean and tidy. The pool temperature was perfect, easy check in and out.

Could have had a few more utensils and a top up of tea & coffee

Great apartment, not luxurious but spotless with everything we needed, even a swimming and little spa Friendly staff and perfect for tours pick up to visit the Coral reef and near the Esplanade

The room was a good size, and wardrobes huge

1. It was dangerous not to have a kids' depth pool. If something is advertised as family friendly, they should have a safe pool for the kids. We have a six-year-old, and the gate from the apartment went directly onto the pool. There is outdoor seating on the interior side of the gate, so an adventurous child could easily use a chair to open the childproof gate and jump in the adult pool. Also as she had to constantly tred water we didnt use the pool much2. The bedroom had no lock on the windows, and we had to ask the manager to get some dowell to stop the window being slid open while we were away or in the night. Again, dangerous3. The fridge had no shelving on the door, and I had to ask for a new fridge, or to fix the shelving4. The coffee plunger was broken, and asked twice for a replacement, but it didnt happen over the nine days we were ther, so plenty of time

Pleasant enough in regard to facilities and staff. Location good.

Had no pre-warning of the need to cart our luggage up 3 sets of stairs. As guests aged in our 70 - 80's this proved a very difficult exercise.

It was clean & tidy.

It was pretty dated. The beds were not super comfy.

When I arrived there was a long hair on each body towel and dust in a variety of corners in the apartment.

The pool was okay but the hot tub was warm if that. No elevator/lift and we were given the top floor for my 72 year old mother to climb steps with her walking cane.

Our room had direct pool access, which was great not having to go up the stairs. The grounds & pool were clean, tidy, not overgrown and gave a very nice holiday feel. Our accommodation was very well equip with everything we needed. Great size for 2 adults & three children and a 12 minute walk to the esplanade. We really loved our accommodation and will stay again here next time we visit. Simple check in/check out process. Staff were friendly and even gave us a couple of extra washing powder sachets as were had run out and were due to check out the next day, so saved us buying a big tub from the supermarket.

There was some mould (nothing super bad) in the showers, but I would say that was due to the exhaust fans in the bathrooms not working. It certainly won't stop us from staying again, and i 100% still recommend Gataway. It's just part of being in the tropics.

The apartment was nice and spacious plus we had secure free parking.

The apartment was a bit dated. It's also worth noting that the apartments are beside a backpackers hostel, so it got quite noisy during the night.

The reception staff were unreal! Lovely and generous, helped us plan a few day trips. Infectious smiles. Just a delight

Location was great , the unit was a good size and well equipped

Beds were hard and uncomfortable and it was very very very noisy . The small bedroom with the 3 beds had way to much light leakage for out side and you could hear everything happening outside

Our room was large and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the pool. The beds were comfortable and facilities in the room were great. The accommodation was walking distance to the centre of the city, close to restaurants and shops. We had room to park our hire car and the pool was well-maintained and refreshing.

We had a couple of noisy neighbours during our stay, but that can happen anywhere. The apartment was clean, but not as clean as it could have been, such as dark patches along the edges of the floors, close to the walls and behind doors.

Location was good, close to everything you would need

Stairs with no lift isn’t ideal, especially with a toddler.The hotel beds were the worst I’ve ever slept on, Incredibly uncomfortable.The property had an inventory list taped to the kitchen wall of exactly what was in the kitchen (eg, 6 plates/6 cups etc.) It felt like they didn’t trust you at all.

Close to city.

The car park a bit small, The room was great but there is some food left in microwave and look Moldy. Not good for the older people if you stay 2-3nd floor because there is no elevator.

it was doable for the price and needs for the 5 of us. Everytbing was in working condition and we were able to use stuff in the kitchen and laundry was very nice.

A very comfortable stay in a roomy space and very well equipped spacious property. Staff very helpful.couch and recliners very comfortable -important for a few nights stay. Beds very comfy too there was blackout in the bedrooms

Room 6 was close to pool and there were kids screaming and shrieking until their bedtime. It’s nice to hear children having fun but it Got wearing after a while (stayed 3 days)

The location is excellent - close to town but in a quiet area. Rooms are comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped, and the wifi is solid. We made use of the laundry machine, which was much appreciated. Also, the office staff is excellent - I asked one of the girls at the desk for some ideas on places to go (we hadn't planned much beyond diving), and she gave us top-notch recommendations.

Note that they don't heat the spa during the summer, which was strange - no one expects a spa to be chilly!
