Novotel Brisbane South Bank

Loved the location and it was very nice.

The paint smell from freshly painted walls. I woke with a headache and was nauseous. We only spent one night thankfully and left early so forgot to mention it.

The Pool is great. Very comfortable place to stay. Restaurant is great. Staff are amazing

Staff were so welcoming and kind to us on arrival, little gift for the children including free ice cream was well received. Restaurant and bar staff were also friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Free parking! What a treat!

Location is average but great if you like a short walk to South Bank area. The elevators were slow and busy.

When purchasing a gin and tonic with friends at the bar downstairs I had to ask for lime in my drink The waiter then proceeded to pick lime up with his hands and dump them in first in my sons soda water water then in mine My husband I and were not impressed Not what I expect from a $600 a night hotel Maybe time to purchase some Tongs Car park was tiny and tight - if you could get a park Not worth an extra $38 a night

Was a queue of people trying to check in from 2:30pm so there was a wait. Even though I’d completed the online check in I still had to fill more paperwork when I physically checked in so it didn’t save time.

Great location, a hop skip and a jump to Brisbane wheel and river. Everything was spotless cleanStaff were super friendly and helpful and the foreign guy behind the bar made an amazing Jameson and Dry

Wasn’t sure how I felt about the bathroom door situation but that’s the way things are going

We always enjoy staying at the Novotel South Bank. The staff are always lovely & helpful & the facilities & room were clean & presented well.Location is also great as its an easy walk to Southbank, BCEC or QPAC which we visit regularly.We also always enjoy the buffet breakfast which is a reason we stay at the Novotel as many other hotels in the area do not offer this & the range & quality of the breakfast menu is great with anything you could ever want.

The only negative about this hotel is the guests smoking right outside the main entrance.There is a walking lane way in front of the Novotel that allows guests a shorter path to easily get to BCEC or heading towards South Bank or QPAC but this also seems to be the place that guests smoke so if you want to go anywhere you have to walk right through everyone's cigarette smoke to get to the lane way which for non smokers or guests with children is quite uncomfortable & unhealthy.Just a suggestion but it would be a great improvement if the Novotel could maybe provide an alternate smoking place for those wanted to do so that is away from where all their other guests walk & have to breath someone else's smoke.In this day & age a hotel should do better in this area.

Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Smiles and warm greetings every time we came and went was noticed and appreciated. Room was as described and suited our needs for the 4 nights spent.

Would have been nice to have water provided in the fridge or a jug for water.

It was neat and tidy and the staff were polite.

I thought the cost of Breakfast and Parking was over the top.

Staff superb service

No inroom dining menu available. It says there is and provides a QR code but doesn’t take us to a menu for in room dinner no other tha breakfast menu. There is no menu for the restaurant for dinner available to choose from during dinner time either. If this was available I would have scored approximately however Emily at check-in made it just good. I would have been happy to spend more with you food and beverage had this information been available.

Staff good

Getting bit rundown. Breakfast was awful. Cold eggs, dry bacon, over cooked mushrooms and coffee machine out of order.

Bed was super comfy! Room was clean, modern and functional.

Everything internal was excellent. Loved how the bathroom opened up into the room. Made it seem larger. Beds were very comfortable. Also extremely grateful that we were able to check in as soon as we arrived at 9.30am after an early morning flight. Short walk to lots of restaurants and cafes.

Little to no view on the lower levels other than tent city in the neighbouring park and no balcony.

Room size, not clean, not enough privacy with those sliding doors for bathroom and toilet

Room was very clean. We loved the selection and presentation of the breakfast buffet

Onsite parking is very tight if you have a 4wd

Pleasant

Parking a bit odd, not enough car spots for the amount of rooms apparently as it gets full and you have to park at the conference Center a block or two away. Wouldn’t stay there again.
