- The room was beautiful and large, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-appointed. The hotel itself was charming, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

Cons -
- Parking is at a remote lot and can be expensive, so better to not have a rental car in the city.
- I was out into a smaller room than what i expected-it was not as nice as the other Heritage Suite option.
- We could hear other guests playing loud music and banging things around until about 1am, there was noone I could contact to infirm, reception didn't answer our calls.

Staff helpful, pleasant and attentive...seemed happy to be there
wish more room service available
The staff were personable and helpful, allowed me to leave my luggage as I arrived several hours before check-in, and phoned and emailed to advise my room was ready. Appreciated the no-fuss upgrade when I raised concerns re the cleanliness of the Large Heritage Suite I originally booked. The City View Suite was quiet and had a great view as advertised.
Cleanliness was a real concern in both rooms. Visible mould on cupboard doors, floors not vacuumed, stains on bed linen, thick dust build-up, and surfaces not wiped over. Windows are locked shut. Airconditioning either blasted cold air or none at all. Wifi and casting to the TV - which got stuck on the Phillips title screen for hours and had to be reset by staff - was problematic and I gave up. Streaming services are not available as advertised.
This is a beautifully refurbished hotel. However, the light switches were hard to handle.
Fruit .and pastries on a shelf in the hallway was 'breakfast'Having to leave that lovely hotel for meals.
The reception staff was very welcoming and tried to accommodate our needs. The location is relatively central and the building is nice and historic.
The cleanliness is not great. The old carpets are very dirty and could use a refresh. Also, both in the room and generally in the hotel, there’s plenty of small objects and clutter. While this may look nice, they attract a huge amount of dust, which, as we noticed, the cleaning team cannot keep up with. We are both a bit allergic to dust and ended up with a runny nose
Staff were fabulous. Room was large, clean and comfortable. We got early access and late checkout with no issue or cost.
The cafe, and room service, could’ve had longer opening hours.
We now always choose the Inchcolm for it's excellent location. It's walking distance to nearly everything. It's quirky, quaint and much more interesting than the bigger hotel chains.
This was our third visit to the Inchcolm. Check in was fine. On our first day, despite having the make up our room sign on the door, the room wasn't made up, the coffee pods not replenished, coffee cups not washed, towels not refreshed (and still wet), bathmat was soaking because the shower is open - no door. The bathroom wasn't overly clean and the safe didn't work. That evening, we wanted to have a quick nightcap at the bar and in between ordering one cocktail and trying to decide what other cocktail to order, cocktails were suddenly off the menu unless we ordered two the same, the sherry wasn't available and to be honest the bar service was "surly" at best. We know the Inchcolm can do better, because we've had excellent service previously. In fairness, there was a film crew filming inside the hotel that day, however, we were paying guests made to feel like a complete inconvenience.
The vibe of the place is really cool, a heritage building. staff are attentive and nice
The room was nice; however, the fixtures were all falling out of the walls. Towel rails, towel hooks were all hanging off the walls. The bathroom wasn't very clean. Maybe a little more attention to detail is required with the rooms.
Really loved the room we stayed in and, ironically, we had the same room on our last stay too, so the Inchcolm really feels like my home away from home when we stay in Brisbane. The location is fabulous for walking around Brisbane and for the event we were in Brisbane for at the Tattersalls Club. We enjoyed the little extras such as the snacks and fruit that were available all day. The staff are discreet and friendly. The bar is gorgeous. This is my go-to accommodation when in Brisbane. We loved it!
There was really nothing we didn't like about our stay at all. Our pillows were slightly uncomfortable (too high), but wow, that's a first world problem and I am sure they would have been changed had we asked.
The room was well appointed and having a vinyl player was such a lovely touch. The bed was so comfortable and the light fitting above helped with the atmosphere of the room.
Only three coffee pods in the room. Needed a little more recent music on the vinyl.
I received an upgrade on arrival. Staff welcomed us back. The room was huge and had everything we needed. There were umbrellas available.
It was an excellent experience
Location was amazing, staff and facilities were excellent.
My room carpet wasn’t clean and beds were very uncomfortable.
Beautiful bar and lovely staff with delicious free treats. Lovely old school charm. This is my second time visiting, however will not be returning or recommending.
1. Terrible housekeeping. Dusty room and mould in shower area, dirty cutlery. 2. Extremely noisy - we could hear people chatting outside on the streets and fellow guests as well. Got woken up in the middle of the night both nights due to the cars zipping past; after falling asleep, we were then woken up by the clock tower at 6am! And we aren’t light sleepers so light sleepers avoid! 3. False advertising on their website. They state robes and slippers included - however these weren’t provided. 4. Sparse mini bar 5. Room service - limited and not available as advertised (this was due to the public holiday). Menu did not work on the TV. 6. No jazz live music as advertised - we were looking forward to this. I’m assuming due to the public holiday. This was not communicated to us.
Great vibe. Spacious rooms that well well appointed.
A breakfast offering would have been good because there wasn't a nice cafe open nearby.
The bed was comfortable.
We stay at Inchcolm a lot but this was the worst experience we have ever had. The room looked like it had been used. There was long black hair all through the bathroom. We also noticed what looked like dog hair. The room was very very dusty and really needed a good clean. We were so very disappointed. Things seem to have changed considerably more recently.
The Inchcolm is such a beautiful Art Deco/Georgian style building, it’s such a delight to stay in something a bit different from the stock standard hotel. This is the second time I’ve stayed, this time in a bigger room. Everything is well appointed and clean. The scent in the hallway can be a bit overwhelming if you’re not used to strong perfume smells. The bed is super soft and feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Unfortunately this stay there wasn’t any room service menu available and no room service breakfast. The only available onsite breakfast was a couple of small pastries and a coffee in a takeaway cup, a bit disappointing. The mini bar was a bit lacking as well. I’ve provided feedback directly to the hotel.
Everything. Loved this little Hotel. Beautifully styled and clean. Lovely little bar downstairs. Very quiet rooms. Bed super comfy. Staff very friendly. Such a good location, can walk into the main CBD or just stay around the area. Great little pub The Alliance Hotel (7 min walk) had great food. Will definitely be back.
