    Pros +

    • Ideal situation
    • We had a renovated room so was very clean and comfortable. Beds very comfy. Rooms also very quiet.
    • Clean, comfortable rooms. An easy walk to St George Square. Parking cost extra.

    Cons -

    • Don't take your car. Minimal car parking available. There's 2 levels you get told to park on which is extremely tight. My husband was asked to move 2 peoples cars out of their spots as they couldn't get out. Just because you got the car into spot doesn't necessarily mean you can get back out.
    • The shower pressure was pretty ordinary.
    • No water in the room.

The food was delicious. The room was cleaned each day, with clean towels daily and bed made. Booking an unexpected night was no problem.

    No water in the room.

The very first person on the desk when we checked in was lovely. He was polite and apologised our room wasn’t ready (we were early and didn’t expect it to be!)

Such a dated, overpriced, un-organised hotel. It really needs a renovation I only got the one photo of the rotting wood on the window

Refurbished, clean, comfortable, convenient, Spring Hill loop bus stop right outside

Check the bathroom size if you’re larger, some are poky. It would be nice if a shuttle bus was on offer for pickup from suncorp or stations after events.

    Every thing room was great

We had room 716 which didnt have AC controlls we found it to cold and noisy so much so we probably would consider staying at the tower next time my wife has her next hospital appointment

Nothing about this experience was memorable,

The car park fee was outrageous $77 for Valet. Room Small and boxy.I had specifically asked for a balcony room, however because we were told we’d be moving to another hotel, no balcony room was available Why ask for a holding fee of $50 when there is no mini bar ?

    8DebPosted on: 2-13-2026

That everything we needed was onsite. The staff were SO helpful.

Nothing to not like. A suggestion if you are visiting to attend Suncorp stadium. It’s a short walk to Roma Street station, downhill. Catch the train to Milton and arrive at the stadium via the walkway. Catch the train back, then a cab from the station to the Mercure. You’ll be glad you did.

Nice restaurant downstairs. Afternoon manager was generous in providing a meal for the inconvenience of not having access to the balcony, as the door wouldn't slide open/closed. A lovely little dessert for our anniversary was provided.

No access to the balcony, although another room was offered, they should not have put us in a room that was due for maintenance when there were other rooms available.

Booked very last minute as change to travel plans and needed to be close to Roma Street Nice little balcony overlooking the city

Arrived after 9pm. Very limited room service choice and no other options nearby by apartment from ordering in

    Easy to walk around

Car park very small hard to park bigger car

The fact that we were called two nights before our stay to say they had a "glitch" in their system and they couldn't honour our booking but that they would put us up in a hotel next door for the same price as if that was a good thing.Soho Hotel is for 17 year old backpackers and there was no way we were staying there I complained to the Manager at the Mercure who had lots of excuses but when we showed him Booking com app that said rooms were available we were magically found a room. He was pleasant enough and we were thankful but it was the ACDC gig and lots of couples were bumped to the Soho I wonder why?Maybe because I stead of 170 they were now going for 450!?Also my wife found a pair of knickers hanging on the bathroom door which they found amusing and an active building site next door which isn't mentioned when you book. It's a nice enough hotel but I'm sure you can get better without the hassle if you look.

    Room was spacious and clean

Worst car park ever!! Be really really careful if you have a bigger car

    9DarrenPosted on: 1-12-2026

Very good location. Not far from city centre and also walking distance (approx. 25 mins) to Suncorp stadium. Would definitely stay here again in in Brisbane.

    10RobynPosted on: 1-11-2026

Comfortable room, friendly reception staff, close to city

    10StephenPosted on: 1-8-2026

    Friendly staff and exceptional room/suite

Parking garage is a real challenge: reception staff did alert us to columns which restricted easy movement.

    5JuliePosted on: 1-6-2026

    Passable

The room wasn’t ready at check in time and we had to wait at reception for over an hour. The sliding door to the balcony wouldn’t open so we couldn’t use the balcony

    9RonPosted on: 1-6-2026

Restful surroundings; a la carte breakfast (no requirement to pay for full buffet; gopd evening menu; great city & gardens views

Great location and staff are helpful.

Rooms are very dated. Carpark is a nightmare unless you have a small car.
