Pros +
- I recently stayed at Nightcap at Prince of Wales and I would give it a solid 4 stars, especially considering the pricing compared to similar accommodations. My arrival after a flight was late, and although the instructions for after-hours key collection were clear, I still found it a bit challenging to locate the entrance, particularly since I am not familiar with the area.Fortunately, Liesha, who was finishing their shift, kindly helped me find my way, which made me feel much more at ease. Throughout my stay, I found the staff, especially Tyler and Jake, to be incredibly friendly and eager to assist with anything I needed. While the building itself is older, I was impressed with how well it has been renovated. The bed was very comfortable, and the quality of the fittings was commendable. An unexpected bonus was the additional snacks and treats available in the room.I will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to the airport, especially with the added convenience of having the train station nearby.
- The building looks old from outside. Surprisingly, the rooms look modern, spacious and clean when you get inside. Aside from coffee and tea station, complimentary cold bottled water including packets of nibbles were really nice addition.
- Close to airport. Very clean well equipped room. Reception open until 4am so great for late arrival.
Cons -
- Although the instructions were clear, I was still unsure and confused with the “sports bar” enterance vs the “gaming bar” maybe in daylight it would have been different.
- Travelling from NSW, we had a late check in. Messaged the reception for check in instructions early on, but i got no reply. When we arrived, I waited over 15min just to get attended and waited another 15min to checked in to our rooms. Reception area was not so pleasant as there were people coming in and out of the pokies room.
- Quite expensive for a basic room with no breakfast included.

The 2 bedroomed apartment was perfect for 3 friends on a one night stay while visiting Brisbane to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The complimentary snacks & water were much appreciated.
The bathroom was a little small & there was no cutlery or crockery (apart from cups & glasses) in the kitchen.
It was newly renovated and had great facilities. It was also in close proximity to the Airport and was very affordable.
The only thing I could really fault was that our window opened directly onto what looked like a small balcony. We were unsure if this could be accessed by the public or was staff only but we didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains onto this, which also overlooked the carpark. Partial frosted or mirrored film on the window would've given more ease.
Lovely staff, clean room, beautifully furnished, was small but ok had everything for us. Coffee, tea , milk ,fridge etc.Only was expensive as 4 concerts on in city and prices were bumped up
very quite had lovely restaurant and bar great restaurant great food very busy
Accommodated a late ckeck-in and late check-out.Sweets, pretzels provided with milk and water provided already in fridge. Great shower with hot water and all toiletries provided.
Nothing!
Easy and friendly check inWelcome beer (or drink up to $10) 10% discount on meals.Clean quiet room. Parking.
Nothing to dislike
Very comfortable bed and large bathroom.
Bit of street noise, but not too bad.
Great price and close to airport. Next door to supermarket and other shops. Downstairs restaurant and bar highly recommended. Very clean and comfortable room, enough space for two.
We were very surprised at the size of our room and enjoyed the little extras like free bottled water and snacks
The bathroom was extremely small
Really clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. And great location. I will definitely be staying here again.
Restaurant was good to have after a long flight. Only stayed one night. Bed was comfortable. Close to the airport.
It’s new and great room size despite the 2x single bedroom is a bit small and huge living room
Toilet too small Gaming room downstairs not sure if it’s safe for the visitor. Hard to find reception staff for late night check in when we were exhausted from the flight
room was cosy and very new. I was staying during the renovations of the rest of building but was not disturbed by noise. I would stay again and the area was great for food options.
New clean well appointed accommodation. Staff were great.
The rooms are tidy and functional
Worst night of my life. Staff did not tell us there was a planned power cut and had in fact told us that the hotel bar would be open till 4 if we needed anything. We returned just before midnight to an empty hotel (no staff) and no power with bright emergency lights preventing sleep. On trying to locate someone to discover what was going on we accidentally locked ourselves out. We spent the next few hours desperately calling the emergency numbers which we had been told would be available 24/7 should something occur. During this time a homeless man broke into the building and cornered my friend in the hotel lobby and then followed her upstairs to the rooms when she tried to leave. He was able to gain access as in the event of a power cut all doors unlocked besides the hotel room door so he could freely enter the building. We ended up having to call the police, who themselves struggled to get in contact with management and had to wait a further hour for anyone to arrive. It was now around half past 3 in the morning. The chaos resulted in us missing our flight. Very disappointing staff in not notifying us of the power issue and also not being available in an emergency. Do not recommend unless you like absent staff and poor safety and security in a dodgy area. For the chaos we were promised a refund but I have yet to see it.
Modern room and the restaurant
It was under renovations at the time of stay.
