Located in a historic building built in the 1800s, Brisbane Manor features a bar, a sunny terrace and BBQ facilities. It offers rooms with free WiFi access, just 5 minutes' walk from Jubilee Hotel and 8 minutes’ walk from Fortitude Valley Train Station. Brisbane Manor is 0.6 mi from Chinatown and 5 minutes’ drive from Suncorp Stadium. Brisbane Airport is a 25-minute drive away. All guest rooms are equipped with a fridge, a work desk and TV. Most rooms have a private bathroom with shower. You can prepare a meal in the communal kitchen, or relax with a book from the library. The hotel also features a tour desk, a guest laundry and vending machines. Boasting a garden and a waterfall, the Rainforest Deck offers a wide range of beers and wines. There are also a number of bars, restaurants and cafés within a 5-minute walk.

- Price was cheap. Only redeeming quality for the hotel.
- The hotel has character. It is in a nice, historic building with a lot of antiques and posters from the past. The hotel is a reasonable walking distance from downtown Brisbane (20-30 minutes). There was a small refrigerator in the room.
- THE LOCATION
Cons -
- Advertising was misleading. It was a backpackers. No air conditioner despite a photo showing one. There were dead cockroaches on the floor. Room was not clean. Security issue with the adjoining room next door as no lock. Uncomfortable bed, itchy sheets.
- No air conditioning, no fan. Hot, humid. You can hear everyone walking around as the old walls are thin. No checkin staff late or early to help with problems but there was someone reachable by intercom. For the price i guess dont set expectations too high
- The rooms are not fancy, but they are adequate. This isn't the place for you if you're looking for an upscale hotel. The internet didn't work at all during my entire stay (I regularly use hotel wifi.) There is parking, but it is a hassle.
