Pros +
- Location
- Awesome location, short walk around the valley for different restaurants and nightlife. Staff were very helpful. Air conditioning was beautiful.
- Beds and mattresses
Cons -
- Dirty cups in the room
- Pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable but otherwise the beds were comfortable enough. It costs $5 to hire a towel and they were very small and thin.
- Unfortunately, this hostel does not deserve an 8 rating. I had high expectations, but when I arrived there was basically nothing, and for me this is far from an 8. Let me explain why.1) First of all, I’ve stayed in several cheaper hostels that offered many more services. Here I even had to pay 5 dollars for a towel, while in other hostels it’s included — even in places where I paid less.2) Another issue is the dorm organisation. In my opinion, solo travellers should be placed together. Instead, I ended up in rooms with groups of friends or couples, which makes it almost impossible to talk to people and socialise. I usually choose hostels for the social atmosphere, but here the level of interaction was zero. The beds were very comfortable, so nothing to complain about there, but apart from that the social side was completely missing.3) I also don’t understand how a hostel located in the centre of a big city can afford to keep the bar closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. That makes no sense. On Wednesday I wanted to get a coffee and they told me it only opens at 12 pm — which makes the bar basically useless. In every other hostel I’ve stayed in, the bar or common area was open from around 8 in the morning until late at night.I can understand a pool opening at 10:30, but a bar opening at 12 pm makes no sense. If I need something before leaving for the airport, the hostel should be functional for guests. It doesn’t have to open at 5 am, but at least around 9 am so people can have breakfast or grab a coffee before checking out. Opening at 12 is honestly too late. And the fact that it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays is even harder to understand. There was basically no social atmosphere. If someone like me finally has a few days off and chooses a hostel because it’s rated 8 and is supposed to have a bar and common spaces, it’s very disappointing to find everything closed.I specifically booked this place for the social environment, and that was completely missing.

ok
l was tried l go to room sleep around 11 pm 1 boy and1 girl sleep at same bed doing sex it is unacceptable, l complain to front desk . They did ask them separate . But it happens again l feel sad
The blonde barmaid that works up top should be a manager she'd only been working there couple weeks but seemed like she was running the place.
Location, staff, accessibility, tidyness
Limited bathrooms
Amazing hostel, nice events and location
Curtains would make the stay even better
Had private room, staff was helpful, common areas are good.
Fridge smelles quite bad, wifi was unstable
Pleasant
No bed curtains at the top bunks, not allowed to bring certain things (speaker - even if you don't use it). Only one toilet/shower per 10 person room.
The community was beautiful
The rooms were so hot and led to a stanch that is only avoidable with cold rooms definitely easier to put on more layers of cold.
Very convenient location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable.
The place is great and looks really nice. The common area at reception has lots of space. The dorm was also really nice. Each bed has some sort of privacy and were really comfy.
Check in should be easier, they ask for a passport and a physical card. I was lucky I brought one of my cards just in case, because I mainly use Apple Pay. They should accept other forms of Photo ID, especially for people inside Australia.
Resonably handy location
The rooms very basic and bland. No bedside table, no aircon remote. No decor. Overpriced for what you receive
Super central location - easy walk from Brunswick Street. Comfy beds and bathroom in the rooms which is always nice.
The bed setup in the room is great, but all it's missing is some privacy curtains!
Bunk beds and individual shared bathrooms and toilets are nice
The bed linings can definitely be upgraded
Everything, very good hostel
French people in my room were very loud all the time, music at 2 am, turning on the lights
Good location, comfortable and quiet rooms, space for luggage and safety boxes. Nice installations and everything clean
I have nothing negative to say
Location n closer to train station n shops, cafe'
NP gym
Easy location to get into town or down to river, clean and comfortable room, very helpful staff
The area itself isn’t the most amazing but at least it’s not far from the CBD
First impressions last! The first interaction I had was with the receptionist/ concierge Kasey. Unlike other places where you only get the key and told how to get to the room, Kasey did far more. She was energetic, informative and I was given information about food and drink specials, community events, pool nights and more. The room was bare basics, No TV etc, I couldn't find a remote for the AC, but everything I needed was contained in the twin ensuite room.
The elevator is slow, and the stairwell is narrow and that area could use a spruce up in painting and revitalising so it doesn't look so tacky, the rooms and common rooms all look good, pity the area that everyone has to pass through looks so unwelcoming.
