Pros +
- Do central and lots to do.
- Beautifully appointed room with all you might need. We had a twin queen room with a good and spacious bathroom and complimentary mini bar. Convenient to the casino of course but also great restaurants, the bridge across to Southbank, the river & downtown Brisbane. We will return
- Friendly staff
Cons -
- Nothing comes to mind.
- Struggling to find a negative but hated the lighting, specifically that you couldn’t keep lights off on one side if one of you was reading
- Overpriced for Valentines weekend which is fine just wish extra precautions were taken when cleaning a cup of cannabis in our bathroom under the sink

Overpriced for Valentines weekend which is fine just wish extra precautions were taken when cleaning a cup of cannabis in our bathroom under the sink
Great location, rooms are very good, pool area was really nice. Life guards and security people were very nice and helpful. It gets very windy on the pool deck but not much they can do.
There was no service around the pool before noon!! We planned to enjoy the pool in the mornings, would have loved to oder a coffee and snacks. Had to walk down to the lobby, wait there and bring my own stuff back. Annoying for 5 star and not what comparable hotels offer.
The Leisure level with three infinity pools. Steam room and sauna. The sky deck and viewsThe bridge to Southbank StaffVery comfortable beds and pillows
The lifts were very slow
Fresh clean and modern with all amenities
Trying to work out which was the correct lift to get into to our section.Found this confusing and had to wait to long in busy times.
The rooms are a very generous size and very comfortable. Great location to walk to the Mall or across to Southbank. Lots of restaurants around but book early.
A minor thing but the lifts are very slow so it takes about 5 minutes plus even in non busy times.
Location & breakfast great. Staff friendly & accommadating
Everything was great
Great View, Pool Area is great, Staff were nice and helpful
Lobby Bar Closed at 8pm, lifts were a difficult went for a few rides up and down.
The location was fantastic, easily accesible to both the town , the south bank and the riverside walks.
A Wonderful Anniversary Stay at The Star GrandHaving lived in Brisbane for the past 40 years, I feel incredibly proud to have such a beautiful hotel in the heart of our city. We recently celebrated our anniversary with a one-night stay at The Star Grand, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The building itself is stunning, especially the views and the impressive connecting bridges — they are simply a joy to take in. Everything was spotless, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was top-class.The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel special from the moment we arrived. Guests can truly spoil themselves with the wonderful relaxation options, including the swimming facilities and the well-equipped gym.One of the highlights was the incredible range of dining options. There are so many excellent restaurants to choose from that it was actually hard to decide where to go — a wonderful problem to have!Breakfast was absolutely five-star — both in taste and in presentation. Every dish was beautifully prepared and presented.I can highly recommend The Star to anyone looking for a special stay in Brisbane. We will definitely be back!
Just staying at the casino.
The staff. Absolutely rude. Especially a lady called Zara. I had paid 5400 for one night in the penthouse. And im a gold member. And i wasn't treated very poorly.
The staff were all very friendly but professional and helpful. The rooms and facilities are gold star.
The casino itself has no dress code and disappointed to see women in slippers and men in daggy tshirts. Brings the whole experience down.
Excellent service and amenities at the venue
I travelled with elderly parents and it was just a little too far for them to walk to public transport
The property itself is great, the facilities and restaurants, social club and pool. All first class
The rooms are underwhelming. Small side, the water pressure in shower not great and for the cost.. no mini bar in rooms though they do provide some free snacks on arrival. Room service options terrible particularly of dietary requirements and no option for room service OR restaurant for breakfast. Only the Buffett breakfast at $$$
Great view, great facilities
Bit pricey
Absolutely beautiful property Nice, new and very cleanVery easy walk into town from main lobby or over to the South bank with a bridge connecting on level 4 walking across the river
I myself find the beds a bit too hard for my body, I felt very stiff and painful every morning
Perfect location and great pool facilities.
Sink in the bathroom was a bit smelly.
The staff were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived late due to a flight cancellation and they could not have been more understanding. The experience from check in to check out was seamless and the finishes in the room were beautiful. (We like minimal and streamlined interiors so this suited us so much). The location was so great for our short stay too. The slippers provided are so comfortable (nicer than all other 5* stays we have had) I really could not speak more highly about the staff and the attention to detail. The stay was so lovely and every request was handled with ease. I would recommend anyone visiting Brisbane to stay.
Genuinely nothing that we did not like
The Star Brisbane is pure entertainment done right. From the moment you walk in, the place feels lively, polished and exciting. The gaming floor is huge and buzzing, the bars and restaurants offer a great range of quality options, and the whole complex has a real resort-style vibe. Service is friendly and professional, and everything is kept clean. Whether you’re there to play, eat, or just soak up the atmosphere, The Star delivers a fun and memorable Brisbane experience.
