Wonderful rooms , service and location

Absolutely amazing. It’s worth every penny. The breakfast has everything you can think of. The River view is astonishing. Room service food delicious. Top! Location is absolutely perfect. The staff were extra helpful.

The pool area is a little bit small.

We booked a room specifically for New Year's eve. The location is fantastic with views of the river allowing us to watch fireworks from the comfort of the room. and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

Some areas if stay were poor value for money specifically parking and food. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted valet parking at a flat rate of $70. What I didn't appreciate this cost was per night resulting in $140 for parking for two nights. For a snack we ordered bruschetta for $28. When the three small single mouthful slices of bruschetta arrived I was astounded and found pricing unreasonable! When I mentioned this to staff they agreed that the sign was unreasonable and offered to refund a drink however our bill still charged full price.

Location, service and cleanliness

Valet parking staff were good.

Inexperienced front desk staff. Whatever whenever........we did NOT experience. Stayed at this property 3 times in the last 18 months (no recognition, even as a Marriott Bonvoy member) and this was the most disappointing experience, so it will probably be my last stay here.

It's a decent five star hotel.

My room didn't have any tea bags to begin with.I had to call twice and wait for half an hour for the real bags in the morning.The hair dryer in the room didn't work. They changed it when I told that at the reception.The breakfast guy told me the breakfast time is only till 10.00. But later, he realized and corrected himself after about 15 minutes and told me it's 10.30. He was polite and apologetic though. The staff at the breakfast counter handed me the breakfast bill when it was actually included in my package. Upon telling her that, they 'advised' me to check with my company if they will reimburse the breakfast bill. When insisted to check with the reception, they did that only to know that it's their mistake and I had a booking with breakfast included!!! These might be minor things but I didn't expect that from a well known five star chain.

Need better gym and better beds Great Breakfast and breakfast staff.

Cool room, great river views, walking distance to everything in CBD and Southbank. Very cool hotel.

The room was excellent. Very spacious, with modern design.The view of the river was amazing.

Loved the room decor and the comfortable bed. Convenient location for my work meeting. Also had room service late on the night I arrived and it was really good.

There were issues on checkin because I'd booked with my husband's booking.com app (on my phone, with my contact number but in my husband's name which I have done numerous times all over the world for years). Receptionist was adamant I could not check in and needed to make another booking (this was after me travelling for over 14 hours and being exhausted). Once I could charge my flat phone and add my name to booking (which I'm sure had already been done anyway) via app they accepted it. I understand they need policies but this first encounter did influence my opinion of an otherwise good hotel. I doubt I would book again. It could have been handled much better.

Friendly staff at concierge and on check in. Funky fit out with curved "cage" wardrobe, dots and bubble patterns on glass wall to bathroom, round mirror, "water trough" freestanding bathtub and small round metal vanity basin, the minibar looked like a round chest of drawers and there were round pendant bedside lights. I'm sensing a theme here. :-)Liked the lighting controls (mood, normal, bright) once we worked them out, as well as the Bowers & Wilkins soundbar with TV!!We stayed in an Executive room on the 30th floor (out of 33) with views over Southbank/South Brisbane to the horizon. Amazing!Hotel is also in a good location for walking the city.

Pillows were very "lumpy" and thick. There didn't appear to be any options for a thinner pillow, but we didn't ask as we only stayed one night.Also, sound proofing from double glazed windows isn't the best. The SE Freeway below was quite loud during the day (compared to the newer Star Brisbane which we stayed at earlier in the year).Bathrooms are showing their age, with the matte black fixtures peeling or showing limescale build up.

Breakfast fast fabulous.Room was amazing, hip, modern, has remote setup.Location was perfect, near queen street shop.

Housekeeping was inconsistent, somedays, they didn't replace water bottlesTowels are sometimes stained, dirty.Somedays they didn't replace empty facial tissueOneday they forget to put blanket, just duvet.Drain was leaking from the pipe.One day, different person on reception, told me to go down for car pickup, other days they accommodate and help me call the valet.

The staff accommodated an early access to room as I had booked a spa before check in. The room was amazing, so luxurious and funky. Everything was amazing. It was my birthday so was a very special stay. I used the spa, had a treatment, ate and drank on the wet deck. I fully appreciated the 12pm check out. I ordered room service and really made the most of the room.

The only annoying thing was the lift. I was on floor 25 and it felt like I was waiting for ages for any lift to come. Very frustrating but the only bad point.

Bar and Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful.

One staff member at the front desk forgot to inform us when our room was ready for occupation via txt as promised. So we waited a long time, until finally we spoke to another member at the desk who acknowledged that our room had been ready for some time, and apologised that we were not informed.Also during our visit to the Wet Deck for lunch there was a very bad smell in the bar area (sewerage) not good when trying to relax with food. When we mentioned it to the staff, they maintained that it could be because of the ongoing road works below.

Cleanliness and facilities gym and pool

Insufficient ward robe space, the shower in the bath tub was tough to use,single sliding door for shower and toilet. Could not use the hands free on the telephone. Lights are all synced a little too convenient for comfort, should have dimmable settings for bathroom and the room separated.

Fantastic facilities, in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff.

Great property and great facilities, especially the pools

The cleaning is not really 5 stars standard. One day the room was not left uncleaned when we were back at 7pm. There were some other occasions that some bits and pieces were not picked up and table not wiped, used mug unreplaced. But everything else was perfect.

Just normal, don't expect too much, facilities old, not been maintained well.

I've stayed for 3 nights,the shampoo bottle broke at the 1st day, every next day they clean the bottle and put the part back to the top. But just not change the bottle. How did they expect the customers to use it?? Imagine you came back late at night and very tired, just want to take a shower and found this.

The mini bar is a standout, a little unusual, but a fun twist from the standard offerings.Room service is excellent, fast and the food is actually worth staying in for. From the moody lighting to the cool, upbeat vibe, this place is a perfect for a night in or out.

The only downside, Parking is valet-only and a bit steep at $70 or you can park downstairs and it was $80.
