Republic Apartments Brisbane City

The hotel is not in the center of everything but it's just an easy walk to the city center or the free ferry boats. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.

It is a great location to explore Brisbane. The highlight for us was the restaurant area Howard Smith Wharves. We did the amazing Story Bridge Adventure Climb only 5 minutes away from the apartment. A car rental station is only 3 minutes away.

Unfortunately the pool area was undergoing a maintenance period.

I liked the location of the apartment as it was in the middle of my two main reasons for visiting Brisbane. The apartment size was excellent and location to CBD, groceries etc was good. The bedroom was excellent in comparison to the rest of the apartment.

The lounge & dinning furniture were sad looking and sagging. The kitchen bench top was burnt, and the bathroom looked outdated and had seen better times. Foxtel didn't work.

Apartment was in very poor condition, paid a 5 star hotel rate to stay in basically a student accommodation. Apartment had been cleaned well but the general condition is terrible with old and damaged fittings and furnishings throughout, bathrooms are dated and have mould, patio doors locks didnt work which wasnt great with having a young child, light bulbs were out, some kitchen pans broken. Apartment management told us after our cancellation period that the gym and pool were out of action, when they must have known and should say up front in the booking. Would not recommend staying here. I have been using Booking.com for 15+ years and first time I have had such a poor apartment considering the reviews it has.

The location was great. The rooms all had heatpumps. Clean.

The pool was out of commission and one of the reasons we booked was because we wanted a pool. Nowhere did it state that they were doing work to this.The room was 3 bedroom but it was a bit cramped. The third bedroom is pretty much part of the lounge closed off by rolling doors so you can still hear everything and it's not private. Should really be a 2 bedroom apartment.Generally everything was ok but it had the air of being a bit aged. It was super cold when we stayed there and we pretty much had to have every heater going in every room as it was a south facing apartment it never really saw and direct sunshine. Odd somewhat wide gaps in the balcony area. Would not want small children playing there.

The location is convenient and quiet. There are bus stops close by, and the Riverside ferry terminal is about an 8-10 minute walk. The apartment is clean and comfortable. There's a full kitchen, and a supermarket is just downstairs. Ideal for a few days' stay.

There is no housekeeping unless you stay for eight days or more, which is understandable. However, guests are also asked to take their trash out to the garbage room upon checkout. It would feel more welcoming if this could be handled by the staff instead.

Quite good and large apartment within the CBD. Perhaps not the most modern furnishing, but ok for sure. Had an initial issue with getting access to the second sleeping room (as we booked for two persons only), but it was quickly solved. Washing machine and dryer were very useful.

Reception only open during normal business hours.

The apartment was a great size, excellent location and really great service. Pool and gym are fantastic, and located with nice views. Thanks to Disi for being amazing at the front desk!

The single beds in the second bedroom need to be secured, they roll around. The couch isn't comfortable.

Nice and spacious apartment. The apartment was 15 minutes walk to city and China Town.

Location was perfect close to everything, shirt still to the river and eateries and shops. Great view from the balcony.

Parking was expensive when we parked on the street for free.

Lovely lady at reception nice apartment great pool and spa and gym. Amenities next door. Woollies, sushi subway etc. Everything we needed in apartment. Highly recommend

Didnt realise you could park at front of apt to collect keys and took a while to find my way back around the block again?? realised later its one way road?‍♀️

It was big enough for my family.

It was way too expensive. It would have been great to have the place serviced daily considering the price but this was not part of the deal. There was not enough soap, shampoo or conditioner. The shower did not have good pressure. The TV only offered limited entertainment. Again, considering the price, it was not good.

Reception staff were unavailable even during office hours. Apartment seemed very stuffy and had a moldy smell inside, needs better cleaning and ventilation.

The place was lovely and clean great view of the city close to shops for essentials pool area was very nice overall enjoyed our stay

Good location, facilities, air con etc all in good working order.

Very old furnishings, beds etc. stained carpets, broken bed base, sofas old and worn. A repaint, new carpet and furniture and this would be a brilliant spot.

Staff were super helpful and great location within walking distance to Fortitude Valley and Harris Wharf. Very roomy. Excellent sound proofing when windows are closed.

Only one air conditioner in lounge and situated on a busy road junction, so can’t sleep with windows open. We left the bedroom doors open.
