Oaks Brisbane River City Suites

The view was amazing, booking was easy, very friendly staff, clean rooms. Well priced.

The bed were so uncomfortable - I wished I had or read more reviews prior as I would have chosen a different accommodation. In addition if one of your multiple choice questions were how comfortable were the beds, clearly this has been feedback given previously. Which is disappointing to know.

Near to everything and with parking. Have restaurants outside. Clean.

The view from the apartment was perfect for the fireworks on New Year Day

There should be cleaning equipment like brooms, mops in the apartment to enable us do the cleaning

The only thing I didn’t like was the parking… having to leave and drive around to get into the parking complex.

Bed was comfortable and front staff were welcoming

TV’s never were able to connect to the internet to stream movies, even after calling the front desk.

The location was excellent and quiet. Appreciated the black out drapes.

The bathroom was good, but can use some sprucing up.

Was not told about the construction work that went on all night and made it hard to sleep. The apartment is very old and outdated and was dirty in the bathroom. Was not told that you had to pay $45 a night for parking. It was advertised as parking available and at the price I paid for a one night stay it's ridiculous that you would then charge $45 on top for one night in the carpark. It would have been cheaper for me to book alternative parking close to the hotel. The price for a one night stay in an apartment that clearly hasn't been updated since the late 90s or early 2000s, while loud construction went on all night right across from our room, was a joke. I would never stay here again and would recommend no one I know does either.

The check in process took over 30 minutes! The directions to the hotel online were not accurate and the carpark was hard to access.

The fact that they are building the under ground train station 24/7 the noise is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS was right outside our room - after night one we got moved to the other side of the building - night two was even worst then we asked to be moved to another oaks - THE STAFF WERE ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT two nights of no sleep WE SERIOUSLY FEEL SORRY FOR THE HOTELS IN THE CITY - PLEASE DONT GIVE UP ON THEM - after two nights of no sleep BRILLIANT SERVICE

Loved the heated spa so I could take my partner and young son for early morning swim and not be cold. Comfortable beds and good air flow with 2 balconies in the room. Wonderful stay

I didn't like not being informed about the construction across the road that went all night and ruined my experience, hence why I gave a 1 for my overall experience
