    Pros +

    • Location, staff, and breakfast.
    • Location is perfect, a block from transit, tons of shopping and excellent Asian food. Unlike similarly priced hotels, the Primus has a ton of character, thanks to its very sensitive adaptive reuse of a very stylish 1939 government office building.
    • The rooms were spacious.

    Cons -

    • The lack of bedside reading lamps reading lamps was disappointing.
    • My only (very minor) complaint was that the fancy lighting automation in the room was a little touchy, and a couple of lamps wouldn't shut off entirety on their own ” I had to switch them off at the wall outlet. Otherwise, I had an outstanding stay!
    • Overall I had a pleasant stay, however this hotel is not really a five star hotel especially when comparing other to other five star hotels like the shangri La, park Hyatt, or even the Marriott downtown. There just a difference in how personalized theyare

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious. The bathroom so fabulous.

Very helpful, genuinely friendly staff. Nice neighborhood. Immaculate room.

The only downside was that my room did not have a view. The restaurant, though pricey, was consistently good.

Vintage lobby and great use of a nearly 100 year old building

Pool and Rooftop bar closed from Friday till Monday for private events. No selection at the breakfast bar

    10RossPosted on: 11-21-2018

the cleanliness, and modern conveniences. The rooftop pool was great, but had limited seating.

How hard it was to find. There is no exterior signage, which is because it is a heritage building, but when driving around in a busy city downtown, it becomes quite stressful and unpleasant. It is under renovation and our room had no view out of the wind

the guys who greeted me, so friendly funny delightful the beauty of the hotel, lifts etc... very cool art deco the room.. big comfy groovy big windows great bathroom... the bed, heavenly, had a fabulous sleep the cocktail the dinner

Well, I couldn't actually use the pool cause it was in a very busy roof top bar I would have been a go go girl with a difference! Not a good look But I didn't mind Just had a shower

Consistently kind, thoughtful but never intrusive service over several visits. My husband has a disability. Rooms are always immaculately clean.

There was a little overnight noise from some guests on our floor. Normally it is exceptionally quiet.

Staff, cleanliness, the look of it

Rooftop bar and pool. Good exercise facility. Quiet. Fantastic lobby. Convenient. Friendly staff.

The Hotel is elegant and stylish with many of the original Art Deco features. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and extremely comfortable. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. A lovely experience.

I felt like the Priminister!! Concierge were extremely helpful. Food was 5 star room 5 star. Location CBD central. Value for money and cheaper than 4 star Ibis!!

    8LeighzPosted on: 9-5-2017

Staffs were very friendly and hepful. We ordered in room service, didn't quite meet my expectation. Food was cold and the steak that I order was very tough. No presentation at all. I love the scent that lingers all around the hotel.

Just the food. Maybe you can enhance the experience of having in room service by adding a little presentation. I asked for sauce and ketchup, came in little saucers. No Ice provided, which maybe I should have asked.

    not really

Hotel room was very quiet and beautifully appointed. Lobby and dining area was elegant and restful.

    7VernPosted on: 11-1-2016

The room itself was quite nice, had all the features you'd expect and was a nice size. The room design was pleasant enough and nice touches with the fancy light switches.

Wasn't quite the standing I was hoping for, was a little tired in places. Looked like they made it look old to hide that fact it was. Also construction work meant I missed out on the sleep in I was looking forward to.

    Staff very friendly and accommodating.
