Pros +
- An excellent large room with a window that opens and a balcony
- I loved the characteristic and area of the hotel. The aesthetics and decoration was lovely, it gave a cozy and stylish vibe. The take a book, leave a book in the entrance was a nice added touch. I loved how there¿s a little balcony and kitchenette.
- Cleanliness of the actual bedroom
Cons -
- One bathroom for 5 rooms was a bit difficult, especially since the bathroom 9small) included the toilet. SO if someone was in the shower you had to wait a while to use the toilet
- I just wish I had my own private bathroom, but having a kitchenette makes up for it in case I needed to wash my hands.
- Shared bathroom did not have liquid soap. There was no reception. Messages to management went unanswered as well.

A beautiful hotel not far from the city center. It's very centrally located, and you can walk to Wooloomoloo in 45 minutes or take the King's Cross Underground station. The building is older and reminiscent of English architecture. The rooms were very modern, and while the bathroom was narrow, it was otherwise excellent. Everything was very comfortable, and the value for money was incredibly good. You receive access codes, allowing you to check in yourself at any time. The hotel also offered free luggage storage. Contacting the virtual reception was possible online at any time.
The access code entry device at the hotel was difficult to use. You couldn't hear or see whether the device had registered each digit pressed, so it took me several minutes to get inside. The one at the room door was much easier to use. There was no air conditioning, but that wasn't a problem because of the mild temperatures on the day of arrival.
Great location, close to very nice restaurants and bars. Even though it's very close to the main street and train station, the room was very quiet.
There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. Bringing up our luggage was almost a challenge (we're young and fit). The ventilation and lights in the bathroom are just weird as they are activated by a sensor: while taking a shower, the light and fan would turn off. Had to get out of the shower to trigger the sensor again. The carpet was dirty, full of someone else's hair. Last but not least, the fridge wasn't really working.
Excellent accommodation value for inner city, 10 mins walk to everything. Please water the plants and shrubs regularly. Clean and with a balcony.
No lift or aircon. Ceiling fan and a high ceiling made it okay. A security screen door to the balcony would allow for an open door in summer time.
The Room, its aspect and location
I had difficulty with the keypad entry after a few vino
Easy and comfortable stay
The air-conditioning could use a serious update, but you can open windows and rooms have access to a balcony.
It was close to family, clean, cosy ,private and quiet.I would definitely recommend
The front door was a bit tricky to manage sometimes
The location, the staff and the price for short stays
The room was hot and the mobile air conditioning doesn’t work well, there was a stair to get the baggage to your room it’s difficult if you have big suitcases or more than one little bag
Location happened to be useful to us.
Difficulty getting in, room size, not super clean (rubbish down side of bed), shared bathroom,
Comprehensive check in process of the tourists ensuring the safety of the host as well as guests
I was bombarded with multiple texts, emails and whatsapp messages but towards the end I had to make a phone call to enter the premises
Very cute and cosy. Great location. Easy checkin process.
No air conditioning.
Location was excellent. .
Bathroom was very small. No secure lock up for stored luggage.
The location was good. Centric and in a good area of Sydney, with a restaurand and a laundromat right next to it.
The worst part of my stay is that when me and my wife went to sleep in our undergarments one night, the next morning, while we were still sleeping, a random person input OUR CODE and ENTERED OUR ROOM! The rooms are only accessible via a code that we input in the room's key pad, and our code was supposed to be unique. A random woman entered our room while we were sleeping and saw us both in our undergarments! I felt totally violated and unsafe. We immediately went to tell the staff and they said that, because they're short on staff at the front desk, they wouldn't be able to look into this crazy safety issue immediately (there's only 1 person managing the front desk only a few hours of some days of the week only!). After pushing some more and several hours later, they told us that there was a "system issue" and that our room and the code assigned to our room was given to another person too! I'd expected some form of compensation or a late check-out at least, as a token of apology, but all we got were 2 chocolate bars! I've never felt so unsafe in a hotel in my life. I will never book this hotel again. Also keep in mind that the hotel has no A/C, although this is stated in the booking page, I'd expect some form of cooling. They have these "portable coolers" in the room but they don't cool at all even if you put the ice thingies in the cooling tray. All in all, this was a really bad value for money, considering the hotel charges 280 AUD / night.
The price was reasonable. And it was clean and quite.
There is no face to face reception service that I coukd ask a question when I couldn't find milk for my coffee.
Great location, easy check in, very responsive, comfortable and clean room. There even was a balcony and a sink in the room for tea and to brush teeth. Close to public transport and nice food options.
Shared bathroom is small but it’s value for money.
We liked the location, and liked that the window opened though no screen so open to bugs and whatever else live outside! The bed was ok. Soft.Size of room was good. I liked the kitchenette but didn't use it.
The rooms were not cleaned well and incredibly dusty. Dust all over bed head, on floor, on shelves - even bathroom didn't look clean. So tired of paying so much money for dust! The fridge didn't really work and the fan - yep dusty. We didn't see reception. They use a QR code and whilst I understand that I felt harassed by the 8 messages plus emails that were sent to me to check in. We get it.. but its not an airline. We found this annoying.
Location Balcony
Room 7 Our room was dark and very hot. Very limited space to hang or fold clothes.
Everything was just about perfect. Room size, clean, windows for fresh air, own bathroom.
Tricky on check in as reception not staffed so was waiting for PIN/CODE of entry to building and room. However, we got there in the end, the key pad is very sensitive. I had a big bag so stairs were hard but manageable.
