Fantastic location. The staff and check-in/check-out processes were great.

Minor issue with the hair dryer not having any heat, but otherwise happy with facilities.

Expect music from the venue to reach your room. Not unbearable but good to be aware before booking

It was clean, comfy and in a good location.

Too much noise coming from the bar. Music until midnight.

Access to rooms was too hard for an average person, very steep stairway. Needs a personal aid lift. Toilets are tiny also 100kg person would find it very cramped.At the time showers were faulty also.

Bed comfy, window to street, good aircon, tea and coffee facilities.

No remote control for TV, both bedside lights broken and shower in morning - no hot water, room looks like it is mid renovation.

Brilliant place to stay, beds comfy, rooms spacious and bathrooms clean. The staff are the real highlights, Miles in particular, who were incredibly helpful at check-in, offering tips and answering all the questions I had.

The shower takes a little while to warm up, but really that is fine.

Perfect location to Sacred Heart Hospital & walking distance to Kings Cross Railway Station & the best Cafe just down the road for breakfast & coffee @ the Darbury Cafe Darlinghurst.

My partner & I were more than happy with the accomodation, bar staff, especially sitting outside relaxing with a beer n snack in the late afternoon sun together with the locals & their well behaved dogs.

In a good location, the shaded bathrooms were clean and the rooms were very cozy and comfortable.

The locks were a little tricky to open.

The drink coupons were a nice touch

There was no hot water in the showers :(Or tea bags in the room.....

I liked the aesthetic, cool vibes and very chill atmosphere. The location is very close to a lot of things and the city. There are some cafes on the same block and very close to oxford street and kings cross.

It did smell a bit like wet carpet in the room. This was explained in the FAQ brochure, noting the sweating from the trees outside. The aircon did remove the smell. There was some stains by the fridge near the skirting boards and on the wall.

Great location. Small but comfy and clean rooms with share bathrooms that are also clean. Iron and small fridge in room. Great breakfasts nearby.

The music from upstairs goes till midnight which isn't such a bad thing except for the choice of music! Sorry Darlo.

Staff were nice despite the considerable delay in check in

Bed bugs. Had to wait 30 mins in a loud bar for staff to finish meeting to check me in.

The location was fantastic, and the bar downstairs is a lovely spot to relax in the evenings. The property serves its purpose—you get exactly what’s promised.

One thing to consider: it may not be the best accommodation for larger families or those sensitive to noise. It’s a bar hotel, so there’s some music at night, though it didn’t bother me at all.

The room was comfortable and clean. Great having sash windows. Nice view.Plenty of towels

Shared bathrooms and toilets I didn't like

It was our second stay at Darlo Bar. The rooms are great, they’re a good size, has great aircon and overall quiet enough. The bathrooms had decreased in cleanliness since our first stay which was disappointing but still very good value for money and location.

Every single staff member went out of their way to accommodate me. Clean, well-appointed rooms. Will be back!
