    Pros +

    • Very hot and not able to reach the fan very noisy room not much air flow
    • The staff were amazing, and I've always enjoyed the location. A short walk from Sydney Central Station, and just down from World Square and Coles. Also, every time I've stayed there, there has always been a lot of friendly people willing to help. The atmosphere is always friendly, and it is fun to talk to people from around the globe. The kitchen and dining spaces are perfect for making new friends.
    • Location and friendly staff…

    Cons -

    • The fans in the rooms could be a little stronger. I ended up having to have a cool shower halfway through the night, due to the heat and humidity.
    • No lift and no aircon!!
    • The room felt like a cell. It was very warm and airless and lit only by a fluro tube light on the ceiling.Inconsiderate fellow guests: one was sitting on the floor in the hallway around midnight, with his phone on speaker at full volume, having a conversation for half an hour. Someone else decided to dry their hair out in the hallway, also in the middle of the night. It sounded like a leaf blower.

Absolutely lovely staff, the single room was great, with a comfy bed. Very lovely clean shared areas incl bathrooms. Great location

Not a dislike but theres a few stairs so if u dont want to lug ur luggage upstairs it may not be for you. But it was great.

    Friendly, supportive staff.

We were left to sleep on the streets for the night with our baby not happy at all

    6MelanyPosted on: 2-6-2026

Very convenient location, lots of good food options nearby and a 30 minute walk to the harbour. Good shared kitchen facilities, plenty of food storage and cooking space. Cinema room is good and free snacks on movie night. Bathrooms big, clean, with hot showers and good water pressure.

The window in our room was not flush so we had a lot of road noise at night which made sleeping very difficult. Rooms are very basic but serviceable.

Great location, easy to find. Plenty of options for meals, coffee and coles close by.

Female bathrooms had black mould and seemed to always have water on the floor both in the shower and toilet areas. Not sure why the toilet cubicles were always wet.

Location is perfect for any Sydney adventures (right near can tram train station, light rail etc).

They are not the most comfortable beds. But that said, you get what you pay for so im satisfied. They much the price point.

    Great facilities and location.

Be mindful about staying here on a Sunday night, there is live music going on till 2am in a pub/bar next door. It felt like I was in the pub/bar myself when trying to get to sleep.

    8OndřejPosted on: 1-7-2026

Good location in close proximity to shops, markets and walking distance to city center.

There are no working locks on lockers in the room, you gotta use paid lockers on the side.

    7MadelinePosted on: 1-6-2026

It does the job! It’s kept pretty clean and the staff are all really helpful, far nicer than some hostels in the same area.

Our 2 bed room looked like a prison cell but no real issues
