Staff were helpful; I arrived on crutches and they offered assistance. Room was clean and ample for what we needed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was fantastic - right in town! I like that the female dorm had a bathroom. I like that they could provide a towel and hairdryer.

The whole place felt really dirty. The kitchen was always dirty. The sink in the bathroom in the female dorm was always blocked, so the water didn't drain properly. I found baby cockroaches in the dorm and sometimes on the bed.

The bed was comfortable.

An Asian woman named lou following me everywhere. And Irish guy named max who came to pick me up to help me. The Chinese woman stole my teddy bear a guinea ping, and my Hermes perfum, also my Thai boxer, and she kept going to my room, but she did not belong in my room. I found drugs maybe 1 million dollars of drug, my stuff were on it. I lost 3000 euros in this place. And an other woman blond with blue eye came into my room when I had a massive seizure for 5 hours, and I woke up with a bite and bruise on my body.

It’s a nice place to stay. The place is clean and has a swimming pool. The staff are very friendly. I stayed just one night, but I really enjoyed it.

The bathroom was never cleaned properly & the staff allowed people to stay in the dorm without a key card or paying which was a safety issue for me

Have stayed here before so knew what to expect. Love this place for it's location in the heart of Newtown - tucked away off King Street, you're right in the middle of this very cool neighbourhood. Stayed in a triple room (one Queen, one Single) with my mum. You get beds, a tv, a wardrobe (no hangers though?), small bar fridge, kettle with teabags/coffee sachets, bath towels, fan in the room. Use of shared bathroom and kitchen. We didn't use the kitchen (but why would you, when so close to all the delicious King Street restaurants!) but the bathroom was kept clean enough. Friendly reception staff, able to hold bags if you arrive earlier than check in time.

For a couple of nights, the share bathroom situation is ok - probably wouldn't suit everyone, and wouldn't be ideal for a longer stay. This particular room is in an older terrace building, and you will hear all the comings and goings of other guests, doors banging, footsteps in and out on the old flooring, and noise from the street. So if you need peace and quiet, this might not be the place for you! Don't bother trying to cook in the tiny, old kitchen...it has definitely seen better days. It would be great if this place could get all the torn flyscreens fixed on the windows!

The pool was very clean and it's rare to have. Showers/bathroom was clean and worked well.

The fans in the room were not great. Got very hot but it was an unusually hot day so its probably fine most of the time.

Great location, easy access into the building, great value for money.

Toilet is in the bathroom, so if somebody is having the shower you can't access the toilet. And there is only one. Room is clean and comfortable. The footpath is blocked by travellers staying at the hostel.

It was very hot even with fan on full. Might sound funny but I noticed a fair amount of heat radiating from the back and side of the mini fridge.

Property is old, dirty, room was disgusting , condom , coachroaches, sushi containers left in the room and not cleaned. Room smelled disgusting.

Location is good and affordable and the property has been a go to for many years, however this time I needed to cancel the booking as the 6 beds in a 6 person private room were not all in the one room, they were spread amongst different rooms. Called the property and asked to cancel and was told over the phone to email them and they would get back to me about refund options. Have emailed multiple times now and can not get a response

Location is good but really noisy at nights, reception is closed at night so if you are arriving late it takes more time to check in as you have to call
