Pros +
- From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and very accommodating. I really enjoyed the bar/club downstairs and the onsite café, which added to the fun, social atmosphere of the hostel. There was a minor issue with my room initially, but it was resolved quickly and smoothly, allowing me to settle in right away. I met some lovely people in my dorm and ended up not wanting my stay to end.
- Wake up is my favourite hostel in Sydney, amazing location, nice rooms, I was pretty lucky to have quiet roommates during both of my stays. Fast and easy check in. Really loved it there and for sure will be back!
- Good location and clean
Cons -
- Only got one pillow each, triple room very small.
- It was a bit noisy, we were above the cafe and just general chatter went late!
- The ladders of the bunk beds were slightly lethal and hard to get down from the top bunk.

Good location and clean
Only got one pillow each, triple room very small.
Very convenient to Central Station. Rooms are compact but had everything we needed for a stop over.
It was a bit noisy, we were above the cafe and just general chatter went late!
Good location, close to the main landmarks without being too loud, good clean facilities available and the team put on lively and fun social events in the evenings.
Good bathroom facilities and the staff were lovely. Good storage in the bedrooms and privacy curtains.
The ladders of the bunk beds were slightly lethal and hard to get down from the top bunk.
This might have been my third time staying here. Room was good.Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.Location is excellent, close to Central station, Chinatown, light rail, and shops
Can't think of anything that I didn't like here.
Location, friendly staff and clean and tidy.
Location was good.
Very noisy, too small, too expensive, too cold.
Good location, nice big room, showers and toilets cleaned often
No privacy curtain. Paid for drinks at the cafe then told we sit outside past 7 as the nightclub opens very early.
Great hostel - nice and sociable, big, lots of communal space and everything was clean and working! Staff and people were lovely
Good location Great, helpful reception
The constant door slamming, they need to be made soft close like other hostels as you will be constantly woken up by others entering and leaving. Bathroom was ok, seen much nicer. The showers didn’t feel the cleanest at times but there was a sign to contact if you had concerns about this
The desk attendant considered my age, 67 yrs, so allocated a bottom bunk.
I often stay at this venue and there'll be no complaints from me.
The bathroom is clean, the bed is comfortable, the quilt is warm enough, the toilet water is delicious, the daily free activities are interesting and attractive, and the kitchen utensils are all available.
Next to it is the side bar. It‘s noisy until after three o’clock in the morning every day. It‘s so noisy for people living on the lower floors. The volume of living on the sixth floor this time is not bad, but my friend lives on the third floor is really noisy.
it was near the main train station and it was very clean and the staff was nice to!
The A/C was too strong- we were sick after 2 days
Maybe the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in.Felt very safe. Your card only worked for your floor and security downstairs was pretty strict- I really appreciated that.Great events like pub crawls etc. Fantastic location.Amazing cafe downstairs offering incredible food and great coffee - I’d never expect that from a hostel.Hygiene was 10/10. Clean bathrooms and great showers - again exceeded my expectations.I would recommend this to anyone.
Kitchen closes rather early and after that the only place you can chill at is the reception area. I found that strange as I wanted to take a personal call and there were so many people at reception that I could barely find a place to sit downThat said, I still had a very enjoyable time and would give this a 10/10, as I usually hate hostels but I really didn’t mind this one.
The communal kitchen was great. They provided us with a personal locker along with the kitchen utensils. WiFi was great.
The only trouble was just there's no room with the ensuite bathroom, although the communal bathroom was adequate to use.
Was clean and in a good location beds comfortable
Only got 2 hours of sleep as the club under hostel was going until 3am and could hear the music and feel the base though my pillow on level 3!
Great location & good communal facilities. Bar was busy and sociable. Great parties!
Communal areas did get busy. This is a large hostel with lots of people.
The location was great. The size of the room and the bathroom was also good.
The noise from other guests. Some people talked really loudly in the corridor even after 11pm, which is a bit frustrating. (The free ear plugs provided at the reception were much appreciated!)Waiting for the lift, especially during the peak hours can be long. I wish I could just use the stairs.
