The York by Swiss-Belhotel

Location. Big spacious room.

Its very dated and old. The hotel looks like it?s stuck in the 70s.

The room was great and plenty of room and ideal for a single or couple travelling for work. All the essentials including washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board were all there in the room. Plenty of facilities to cook your own meal if that is the guests preferred option and room was attended to everyday. The facilities were extremely safe and had security measures in place, the staff also were happy to hold my luggage as I arrived earlier than check-in.

The crockery needs to be replaced as the coffee cups are very outdated and there was only 1 mug. The balcony sliding doors were extremely difficult to open and close so maybe some minor maintenance on the tracks. All of this is minor things and would not prevent me from staying at your hotel again.

I had a construction site attached to my balcony - angle grinding at 0800am and opened my curtains to see 2 workers looking at me from the balcony. Very noisy trying to have Teams meeting in this room with the construction going on. When I checked in absolutely NO mention of the noise or disruption that would be occurring......

The hotel itself is very dated. Carpet everywhere is not ideal. Just everything is old and needing upgraded for sure.

The property looks quite old and worn out. The fittings inside the apartment are quite cheap. All things work though.

Staff are really helpful and friendly. Location could not be better.

There was nothing I didn't like. Just needs a more comfy bed

The location is really good but unfortunately the traffic noise goes all night which made it a bit hard to sleep. Not the hotels fault though ?

Parking was difficult

Location was perfect. So close to everything and easy to access public transport. Apartment was spacous, bed was comfy and clean and it was quite well priced. I will definitely be booking in again for all future work trips

Location is great and ease of public transport - reasonable value for money. Ideal if staying a few nights as unit has washing ironing and cooking facilities.

As advertised, the hotel is old and currently under renovation which begins early in the morning. It is very clean.

Large room very spacious, shower pressure was amazing.

Very loud - street noise was pretty horrendous. Property is quite aged so needs an uplift to make it look mordern. Expensive for what it was.

Aircon in bedrooms. Views. Comfy beds. Great location. Bag storage before check-in.

Plenty of traffic noise even up on the 24th floor - needs double-paned windows! Poorly stocked kitchen (forget doing any cooking), with only a handful of random kitchenware, plates, cups, cutlery etc. Not enough allowance for rubbish (tiny bathroom-sized bin in kitchen).

Location and size of room

Cleanliness, staff not responsive, deferred maintenance.

Easy access to the hotel. Friendly staff. Responded well to issues ie wifi not working, lack of dishes in the kitchen. Overall positive experience.

There was no hot water in the kitchen. The kitchen could have had more equipment. Dishes, dish brush etc. Mostly is was just fine.

We stayed in hotel four days without wifi service. My wife had to bring her laptop to Novotel lobby to finish her work.

Love the location, short walk to Wynyard station, close to Circ Quay, the city, George Street, a couple of blocks from The Rocks. Spacious apartment, kitchen has all the appliances etc for a comfortable stay.Staff are friendly and helpful.

The location was fantastic. Close to public transport. Great views of the water & lunar park.

The furniture was old, tatty and falling apart in places. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Floors were dirty.

Leaving

Internet issues and work getting done next door with constant banging. Got maintenance guy to take a look @ internet and he didnt fix anything and told us to try another rooms connection - this didn't work and constantly dropped out so we had to pay for our phone to get data. He was very rude and cause of this we will not be going back or recommending to family and friends.
