    Pros +

    • The QT is an experience not just a Hotel, the decor is absolutely wonderful, eclectic, modern with a retro vibe.
    • The location, the decor, the staff was fantastic.
    • Fabulous location in Sydney. Staff were friendly. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Breakfast on a couple of mornings we're a little underwhelming, for example omelette a bit like rubber, the salmon croissant didn't have any flavour and the wait staff don't write anything down, one morning my husband asked for flat white and was served a long black. Then this morning my husband had the granola and it didn't come with milk??

    Cons -

    • No!
    • The elevator took some time to learn.
    • I requested an emergency supply of toiletry items late at night but none were available.

Lovely bathroom and room! Great size and modern.

    Pleasant

For an almost $1000 per night suite, it was a little disappointing. Didn’t even have any free drinking water provided. Cleaners didn’t even replace used tea cups or glasses or take away rubbish. I’d expect more comforts and service for $1000/night. Also the check in staff member was acting very strangely and unprofessionally and we were handed rubber ducks … strange.

Everything! Staff were friendly and helpful, room was immaculate, lots of toiletries and amenities provided, plenty of space and comfy bed. Design has been thought about deeply and there are so many small touches which make it great. Stayed for valentines weekend and it was just beautiful and felt so special!

Soundproofing could have been better - our room was next to a lift and we could hear it going up and down all night. Didn’t cause major problems for us. Could also hear others moving around outside the room. Small niggle - definitely no louder than any other hotel.

    Good location.

Having stayed in QT Melbourne this was not comparable. Cramped and dark rooms. Cockroaches killed during the night which were hiding in wooden floors. Strange layout with rooms in two different towers. Staff reasonably helpful.

    Location.

Unclean. Marks on bathroom times snd floor and lots of dust. Carpet around the bed heavily marked.

Very clean property and the staff were very accommodating.

Parking and finding the hotel was a little hard.

Elegant, comfortable and well located.Staff very professional, friendly, and helpful. The French restaurant food was delicious too.

    No negative comment to make

The funky vibe and staff are the reason we stay. Not the stuffy chain hotels crap...real people which is great.

Some of the art and shelving need a bit of a deep clean. Not bad, just could see the dust building up in some of the hard to reach areas.

The staff were excellent and bent over backwards to accommodate requests and took feedback really well. The design of the hotel is also spectacular, with uber cool art and a great bar/restaurant. We were also very happy with the room size.

It’s time for an update, don’t you think? In our room alone, the sink was cracked, the bathtub was cracked (!), and there was rising damp and damp spots on the wall by our window — all of which we brought to the attention of the check out crew. The gym was absolutely despicable; an airless room with insufficient aircon and decrepit equipment. Enough about that.I’m also of mixed opinion about the CBD location, which is great if you’re there for work or on a mission to shop, but still quite a walk to the waterfront or The Rocks.

Everything - it’s a beautiful hotel. Very clean, great service, very comfy. Bathroom was exceptional. My only complaint is we only had a one night stay and didn’t get to spend much time enjoying the hotel itself!

Great location (in the middle of a shopping mall). Fabulous interior design (Luigi Manson 2 style). Comfortable bed. Nice bath and great bathtub. Spacious.

Staff did not provide information on where the facilities are on arrival. The TV home button was broken, so we could not find any information about the hotel facilities. The TV button was repaired on our 3rd day of stay. For a family with children, the external swimming pool is only for those over 18. For business travel, there is no dry cleaning service on Sundays, so you need to handle it yourself.

QT is my favourite hotel for Sydney trips. It's really quirky. I love the interesting decor, which is slightly different in every room and the music in / random comments from the elevator always puts a smile on my face.

The restaurant was really busy at breakfast time - it took a while to get a table which is entirely understandable (especially as I was on my own) - but the poached eggs were overcooked and butter for the toast took another 10 minutes to arrive. If you're breakfasting there, order the pork sausage - best one I've ever tasted!

QT is our Sydney ‘GO To’!

Staff! Style, location and did I mention staff?

    1JuliePosted on: 1-25-2026

    Check in went well.

The uncomfortable bed and pillows, no amenities except for shampoo and body soap in containers that were hanging off the wall. The carpet felt dirty. The entire room was creepy. I woke up to a very strong feeling of something being in the room with me. The room turned icy cold and there was what looked like a ripple go through the fabric bedhead. The entire thing was disturbing and extremely frightening. I didn't even stay for the night because it was so terrible.

As soon as you walk up to the doors it’s almost like going back in time. The old style vintage vibe is so welcoming and the staff are amazing very personal and professional. The rooms are amazing quirky modern and set the mood for a romantic weekend or night out on the town definitely one our favourite places to stay Sydney
