Pros +
- Location: Catch a 333 bus to either Bondi Beach or Downtown and Circular Quay, a walk to Centennial Park and to shops and restaurants on Oxford Street and on Queens Street Woollahra. Gary at the front desk.Lots of instant hot water shower. Room cleaned and serviced daily.
- This is place is so run down and in dire need of a full renovation before using the word “boutique” in their description! Broken shelve attachments in the bathroom, more chipped paint than you can poke a stick at, a reception that closes 3pm. A carpet so old it should be in a museum!
- Location was superbThe feeling of space and the wonderful building Monique was so very accommodating and knowledgeable
Cons -
- Our third time staying here but . . Although it has charm, it has definitely seen better days. Once had a wonderful buffet breakfast included, but now a coffee stand with limited choice (up to only 10$ only) in a display case. Given the room rate, a daily complimentary bottle of water would be appreciated. No longer such good value.
- EVERYTHING! Wouldn’t stay there again if it was free!
- No problems at all

No problems at all
My son found it a very convenient and fun location, and hotel had charm, staff friendly and helpful
Not sure there was anything he didn’t like :)
The hotel location is great and the bed was comfortable
Room was very run down. Our room was off the carpark….bathroom in desperate need of a makeover…mirror crazed shower leaked all over the bathroom floor when showering, furniture badly placed and peeling paint. All for close to 500 dollars for the night….all very disappointing.
The rooms were beautiful and the location was so close to our event. Staff were very friendly as well.
I have no complaints
IT was a last minute impromptu trip, decided to book Sydney suburban after reading the reviews. It is a very pleasant surprise to have found this hotel. We like the location, nice cafes and lovely restaurants nearby. Coffee at the breakfast was very good( which i did not expect). Room size is very respectable, bed is comfy. In short, we will book again .
Maybe bedroom slipers and shower cap could be provided.
Friendly staff, beautiful building, the room had everything we needed and smelled so clean. Unbeatable location especially if you have an event nearby! We really appreciated the included breakfast too.
Location and friendly desk staff (owner?). Showers were great, air conditioning was excellent and refrigerator was added benefit.
Limited breakfast with “added charge” options. Example Toastie cheese and ham sandwich, croissants with ham and cheese, egg McMuffin or muffin with fruit. You could have tea but bottled water or drinks were up charge. I do not nitpicking to make an extra dollar.
Staff were incredible, I was traveling solo for a concert and they gave a lot of great tips which helped with my travel anxiety- I was even able to check in early which was a godsend as I’d come off a red-eye.
For those with accessibility requirements this might not be the venue for you, lots of steps into reception/room etc.
Beautiful space, great location, good sized rooms
Nothing not to like
Friendly great location. Is in need of some reno’s but great value for money.
Does need some upgrading
Location. Room was functional but a little tight.
Would benefit having laundry facilities
The location was excellent for access to shops, eateries and of course the park. The cafe in the front courtyard providing a light breakfast and coffee throughout the day was a real bonus and the elegant, air conditioned lounge perfect for relaxing on a very hot afternoon. The staff were helpful and the other guests were also very friendly and accommodating, especially of our dog.
The tiny room was classified as pet friendly, but there was seriously no additional room to accommodate a dog. Way too cramped to enjoy any time in the room. We gave the property 2 weeks’ notice that we were bringing our very large dog with us, which they gladly approved, but no effort was made to ensure we were given the most suitable room with extra space.
Location was ideal for a quick Sydney visit.
No elevator so it was difficult to bring heavy luggage up and down the stairs.

Beautiful hotel in amazing neighborhood (Paddington) with kind and helpful staff. Easy parking. Very good value for money
Our room was quite small but still fine
It's well located, accepts pets, and room was comfy. Breakfast coffee good. Friendly staff.
It's a little tired and could use some refurb
Location.
Limited reception opening hours. Cleanliness of room (used minibar items from prior guest still present).Lack of natural light. Ants in the bathroom!
The staff were really friendly and helpful, having the parking was great as well. I love the historical feel to the place. Bed was really comfortable
Not much I didnt like. Would happily stay again
