    Poor

Workman working at 7am in the morning below your window on a Saturday morning is ridiculous. Also getting charged for items we did not take from the mini bar was annoying

    Lovely hotel was very excited...

I was believing there was a pool. Very disappointed. I spoke to another guest who also believed there was a pool and she had 3 children. Not sure if hotel or booking.com are at fault.

I like the ocean views from our balcony from the 6th floor. Plus the room service is great.

The fridge was tiny, not enough room for our stuff

The renovation looks very nice but the rooms have only been refurbished not completely redone as the outside hallway noise has not been improved.

Couldn’t get a table at breakfast. Had an issue with other guests running up and down the hall, and constantly opening and closing their doors which shouldn’t be a problem but is way too loud.Book a double room with view, quite deceiving as the the view is of Coogee residents roofs Check-in was very slow especially after travelling with two young kids.

The room was clean and bright/sunny, the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. The room amenities were great. Access to Wylies with no pool was good.

The double beds were too small for two people. We specifically booked for a swimming pool so to have the pool closed was not ideal and to only be told about this once we asked and post the refundable date. However wylies was good. The delay in receiving our bond back is not ideal. The family rooms are too small for a family.

Stayed in accessible Room 4‑17. There are three important bathroom requirements that need to be addressed:Install additional hooks positioned away from the shower area.Add a pull‑down grab rail on the right‑hand side between the shower area.Provide non‑slip shower mats for safety.

The temperature in both the room and the Shutters Restaurant was uncomfortably cold.

    Beautiful hotel. Very new.

The swimming pool was still being built which we hadnt realised.

    Good location and view.

Surprised by the lack of a pool, and mediocre finish given its only recent opening.

Fab location Beautifully decorated and finished

In an accessible room - needs more shelves in bedroom and showroom as nowhere to put anything. In shower room need to lower mirror to meet tiles above basin as couldn’t see anything other than top of my head as height of main mirror not set for an accessible user in a wheelchair. Then there were no mirrors in the main room - not that I’m vain or anything…!

Beds were so comfortable and black out blinds were perfect. Great location.

Room was tiny, when we booked I called hotel and asked if the room was big enough to comfortable accomodate a family of four needing a cot, I was told it would. When we arrived, first of all we waited 45 minutes to check in, this was at 8pm with a screaming baby and sleepy toddler. There wasn’t a massive line just one person in front who was unhappy with their stay but only one person at reception. When we finally got up to our room, my husband had to go back downstairs and get our bags as they still weren’t in our room and he needed formula and nappies for bedtime. The room had no room for cases to be opened, nowhere for anything to be put, the shelves for shoes in the room were too narrow to fit any shoe on, the bathroom was narrow and difficult to navigate. The cot was placed directly at the bottom of one of the beds right under the tv, this meant there was no way to walk around the room at all, and if we had left it there our baby would have been able to pull the tv down on top of himself or climb out onto the bed. A cot needs some space around it, this is why I had called to check. We had to move the beds around slightly to adjust cot position. When we did this, I noticed ed our toddler eating fries he had found on the floor and our baby holding two metal bottle caps, trash from previous guests. When I mentioned this to reception I was met with a blank face and zero apology for lack of cleanliness in the room.We paid a fortune for the hotel, it was supposed to be a nice few days away it just felt cramped, which was disappointing after calling to confirm, difficult to navigate, service was slow and kind of dismissive and we didn’t really feel the way we feel when we stay at other intercontinental hotels.

Freshly renovated in a modern beach style. Great views over Coogee Beach. Very friendly staff and excellent check in.

    6LukePosted on: 1-18-2026

The hotel is modern and clean and rooms are appointed well

Photos suggest the rooms are bigger than they are.

    8WalterPosted on: 1-18-2026

The renovated rooms were very well decorated except I would say that the rooms are a little small. The description in our booking said that we had a balcony however this was not the case. I am not sure if this was due to continuing renovations and a room not being available.

The bathroom was nice (and new) however, considering there were three of us booked in the room, there was only one place to hang a used towel. This would, of course, have been the same if there were only two of us in the room!

    7NataliePosted on: 1-17-2026

Breakfast was good. Location is amazing. Decoration and linen was amazing.

Not enough towel hangers(had to dry towels all over the room) needed more tea bags. We found the bathroom doors annoying.. issues with them opening and opening the main door and being able to use the space where your bag is to dress.

Great location , very welcoming staff.

Car park fees seem excessive especially if you are resident in hotel .Bathroom too small to be comfortable , shame as relatively new & this should have been avoided .

    9MiriamPosted on: 1-11-2026

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were exceptionally comfortable. The level was of a high qualityThe staff were very friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble,I messaged to say it was my son's birthday and they made a lovely card with a bottle of prosecco which was a lovely touch and much appreciated

When I booked the hotel I was not aware that all the facilities would not be open and was disappointed the swimming pool was not yet available so the view from our balcony was a building site. As a result of the building work there was some damage to the balcony which was a shame but did not dampen the experience.
