    Pros +

    • When booking this hotel I did not realize it did not have air conditioning in some of the rooms. We figured out a way to keep the room cool. It was more like a hostel type of rental, shared bathroom, etc. The morning breakfast set up was great.
    • This boutique hotel is perfectly located for accessing the airport, getting on a cruise ship (both of these are like walking across the street!) and for seeing the sights around the Quay.
    • Excellent location, clean room, lovely breakfast including in my stay. Beautiful old building with lots of charm I would definitely stay again

    Cons -

    • No air conditioning in our room, but, we figured out a way to keep it cool. Other than that location was only blocks from the Opera House and other interesting places to explore. Everything was within walking distance, or you could hop on a bus for a fee.
    • The uphill climb with suitcases to get to the front door of the hotel
    • There are a number of stairs and slightly musty in the hall ways

Staff were amazing. Friendly and couldn’t,t do enough to help.

All the stairs which made it very difficult when travelling with suitcases. Charged for cups of coffee with your breakfast and no one informing you of this charge until paying final hotel bill.

    Location and room size

Lots of stairs, shared batbroom had no ventilation and had a plastic curtain over a batb tub... shower cubicle would be MUCH better.

Beautiful old building, in the Rocks area. Easy walk to the cruise terminal. The room was very comfortable and staff were very friendly, professional and helpful

Was a Saturday night so a bit noisy. Settled down about midnight

Central to the Rocks, fresh cooked breakfast included was fantastic, rooftop gorgeous, staff were fantastic.

    Nothing. I’d stay here again.

Location amazing and very quaint dour to the age of the building

Shared bathroom which included the toilet, basins and showers in the one room! At least the toilet should have been separate. Also, we were on the top floor and there was no air con, only a ceiling fan, which made it very hot. That’s understandable due to the building being g heritage listed and solid brick and stone.

Location was a bit further away than we were expecting. Map on Booking.com showed it closer to Circular Quay.

There was nothing boutique about this hotel. We have stayed at locations in the same area for much less and they were just as comfortable, clean with great decor and more spacious. We have stayed at other Boutique accommodation that offered so much more. The main entrance to the room opened onto steps which I nearly fell down. It was dangerous. Each time we opened the bathroom door it banged against the bed side table. There were no available plugs for the kettle, I had to sit it on the floor so that it could reach a power point. We were only given 2 teabags and had to ask for more. One of the cups was chipped and we had to ask for a replacement. There was nowhere for our luggage to sit upon and not enough space in the wardrobe for our bag to be stored. Our other door opened onto a shared courtyard with a view of rubbish on a rooftop. Breakfast the next day was mediocre and did not include coffee. For the price this accommodation was very disappointing. There were overseas tourists who were not happy about the accommodation either. I recommended two other places close by. I wouldn't spend the money on this place again.

The staff at the hotel was amazing, especially Florence. My words can not express how extraordinary she is! Note to management - don’t ever let her go!! Breakfast options are also very nicely made. Also the location is superb.
