Great location, clean and tidy room, guest kitchen facility was clean and tidy as well

Very noisy (traffic noise) so earplugs required! Toaster not working in kitchen.

Bathroom/toilet amenities were dirty and were shared between male and female

I love the position as its central to everything plus the bar is beautiful.

No noise from the bar, clean facilities, everything you need has a hairdryer, fridge, standing aircon - very central location and cheap stay would recommend!

Location was perfect! The staff at the bar were all amazing. Fair value for price in an amazing location.

Older building, which I expected, but mouldy shower and broken tap. Room was clean, but no AC in 30 degree weather.. ouf.

Only one of the four showers works properly — the others have very low water pressure.The pillows are very uncomfortable (too big and too soft), and there is only one per person. There were no spare pillows available.As it’s an old building, there is no lift, and the floors are very noisy when people walk around. It’s also quite loud from outside, as the property is on a busy, hilly street

Did not provide items it advertised. No milk, no fruit, no water bottles, empty toiletry dispensers. Very noisy with old windows that rattled and did not isolate from the loud outside traffic noises. Thin walls between rooms.

This hotel is in a great part of Sydney. Easy walking distance to trains, buses and a supermarket. Also about a 20-30 minute walk to Circular Quay. Cereal, fresh fruit and milk provided for breakfast. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Very clean, and great location, friendly staff and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Very old beautiful building lots of photos of its history. Well worth staying here.

Wasn't aware of exactly the amount of stairs to climb so bit of a worry for my travelling companion, but we made it through ok.

Bathrooms were ok not amazing but you get what you pay for. Rooms were amazing and spacious. Great location to get everywhere.

Booked for 2 nights. On arrival and being let in the room was not cleaned. Beds not made, towels and rubbish in the floor. Unfortunate as I was unwell and just needed to lie down. Rested for 3 hours before realising this is not comfortable nor sanitary so I urgently booked another hotel. The only positive was the kind manager who gave me a refund despite booking.com stating no refunds. I do believe given normal circumstances this would not be everyone's experience & I can stay the manager was calm, collected, kind, understanding and made me feel a whole lot better as I felt bad from being sick & wanting to leave. I know families stay there as there was a family coming in as I was leaving so it must be suitable for solos and families. But if you get sick you will want your own bathroom! Overall if the rooms are cleaned and hopefully this is just a one off it would be a good little stay for a solo traveller. It's not ideal if you are sick from food or dehydration as the bathrooms are shared and there are only stairs so it's an effort to walk up and down when unwell. Not suitable for those needing to use a lift as I am not sure if there is one. Central location.

Excellent location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms large and put quite basic. A very useful kitchen to make a morning tea.

Nothing i didnt like as i knew what i was paying in the centre of Sydney. A down to earth, no nonsense accommodation which suited our purposes.

Location is awesome. Place was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen was very nice to have. There was always some bread (and a toaster) and some cereal packages. There was milk but sometimes it got low. But no big deal. There was no AC, but the AC towers in the room and the overhead fans helped keep us cool. With the great location and price, it was worth it to deal with that. We didn’t have mid-summer heat and so maybe that would make a difference.

Very old hotel, good if you like the pub and all the hustle and bustle.

There are a lot of stairs to accommodation I am older and had heavy luggage . It is a pub below Open til. 2 am. I never had any noise issues . The location is so good . All facilities to cook wash clothes everything you need . The bathroom s and showers were always clean . The carpets are very worn but the affordability has to over ride this . The staff were lovely had a great stay.
