It was comfortable and quite adequate for the price. I appreciated having the kitchen facilities and a ' good' bathroom.

The synthetic mattress protector resulted in me feeling terribly hot and being unable to sleep properly . I would expect now that wifi was freely available but it was freely available for only 1 computer and only for 48 hour- inadequate for 2 guests .

The room was inkeeping with the heritage building. Happy to have ensuite. Room was lovely and quiet with no street noise to be heard. Good location next to park and down the road from a choice of dinning.

Room is outdated. The bathroom has no exhaust fan and there is no AC inside the room. The room feels moisturized and smells badly.

No Air con and only a very small ceiling fan, which is not good on a hot Sydney night. A TV which didn't work as no channels would come up just a yellow screen.

Always a pleasure to return to our favourite Sydney accommodation. Fortunate to be able to get a room at short notice.

Was fully booked for the full length of our stay so as soon as a room became available we jumped on it.

The hotel seemed like a heritage building and there were quick eateries around at walking distance. The train and tram stops are closeby.

I had a late checkin and the pin given for entry was an invalid one. I waited for about 2 hrs , tried calling the number but no one picked up. I went to a friends place about 45 mins away and my friend helped me call the security device company's number (1300....). The person on the other side called the hotel management and got the room opened. I had to spend quite a lot of money for my too and fro travel . I asked for giving me a discount and that was not given.

It was so convenient to transport, shops & cafes with ample street parking

Congenial hosts, George and Kevin, allowed for flexible check-in and checkout times, which I sincerely appreciated. I enjoyed a balcony suite with park view: large balcony, tiled fireplace and high ceiling. There’s a nook with a kitchen sink, microwave oven and mini-fridge, plates and cutlery. Blackout drapes work well. WiFi was good.

Could add a paring knife to the kitchen utensils.

Beautiful building, super friendly, helpful arrival, parking out front - great location.

Charming family hotel close to the UNSW campus and within quick commute to the CBD. Clean and comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, laundry available for very small money. And the building itself is very cozy and pretty.

Avonmore on the Park is a beautiful hotel opposite Alison Park in Randwick.The mattress was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. It was located near numerous public transport options and cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.Staff in reception, George, Kevin and Matthew couldn’t have been more pleasant, friendly and helpful.The house keeping team did a fabulous job of keeping the interior of this grand old building spotless.

A pleasant, comfortable hotel in a beautifully restored Victorian terrace house. Opposite a park and close to cafes, shops & public transport. Not luxurious but attractive, affordable and friendly.

A wonderful property with a five minute walk to the train enabling you to get anywhere around Sydney that you want. The front desk man George was extremely helpful with all of our needs. Highly recommend!!’

Lovely Victorian property set in a quiet street opposite a park and close to shops. Room was very comfortable and spacious. There is a small sitting room overlooking the park - perfect place to stay overnight or for a short break.

Stairs - but I find stairs onerous.

The location was easily reachable by public transport. The place was quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend the park across from the hotel. The general area (Randwick) was easily explored.

The room was not aired, but I didn't care, since the linen was clean and changed daily. It was impossible to keep the only window open without wedging it open, and there was no flyscreen on the window. But these are niggles.
