Meriton Suites Kent Street, Sydney

Location and staff were very friendly and helpful.

It’s probably a hotel rule but paying the $100.00 bond and then taking 10 days to return it. Considering the room was over $----a night and then having to pay a bond that takes over a week to refund is quite frustrating and makes it’s expensive.

Perfect location. Apartment a bit dated. Curtains and sofa need to be replaced tgey we're worn and dirty

Location very good - pool and spa and sauna well kept

Bathroom a bit smelly - like wiped with a dank cloth - grout stained - rusty doorway Rest of room was clean and tidy .Checkin at 3.00 pm but was not available to 3.45- had to wait / hardly enough time to get ready for our appointment.

Had a fantastic room which had everything we needed.Stayed for 5 days and was able to cook and wash our cloths for travelThe staff we always very helpful when neededLocation is right in the CBD so handy to visit most places but also close to a main station to get to the airport

The bathroom needed to be re-grouted looks old and worn You need to sign next to the lift to show people how to work the lift. Many people confused.

Close to all shops and restaurants everything was walking distance the bed and pillows were very comfortable

No face washers

Flickering light over kitchen area. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Overpriced

Room was nice and quiet and clean. Was great being able to swim each day and have somewhere to leave our luggage and go back to get changed and collect before the airport as well.

I wish there was a face washer available as I forgot mine.The pool was a tad cool but still nice to swim in.

Room size

Unfortunately had to have a late noght room change as the shower hose had a large leak. This should have been caught by the cleaning staff and repaired before the room was allowed to be booked.

Awesome location. 1 minute from light rail to circular key Town Hall stop 5 minute walk. Coffee outside front door. Minimart next door. Chinatown right there also. Great staff.

Location was great. Close to everything. Restaurants as your door step. We chose this hotel for that reason.

I thought reception were a little rude and not helpful at all. I also felt like it was quite overpriced for what you get. Room was quite small but comfortable enough. The pool was so small and would've been better if there were more chairs around the pool

The room and the staff were great. We also found the location very convenient. The room was quiet and had all the services we required. The bed was comfortable and we were grateful for the a/c unit in the bedroom.

Some aspects of the room were a little tired - particularly in the bathroom.

I did get an upgrade. But i found the room spacious, i was in a altitude suite. Liked that we could have a drink and dinner on the balcony. Had all the facilities on hand. Love the check in with Faye , very helpfull and cheerfull. Did have a complication with lifts and going to room but with help worked it out.

We stayed in Meriton Suites for the second time and chose a 1 bed apartment on a high floor. The property is located right at the heart of the CBD, within 3 minutes walk from the Town Hall. This is a busy area with lots of cafes and shops. The views are amazing. The apartment was exactly as advertised, clean and reasonably well furnished.

There are two issues to report and they are consistent with our previous stay. First, there is very limited stock of cooking utensils. There was no sauce pan for boiling. We asked three time to have it, each time got a promise that it is coming and it never arrived. Second, the bathroom is quite small and fairly basic. Overall, we rate Meriton at 4*.

The property was nice and clean, however the cleaners had missed the shower caps over the smoke detectors, which suggested previous guests had been smoking or vaping. Obviously not the cleaners’ fault.

Check in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 4 pm and were told the room was not ready and would be another 10 minutes. We were advised we would receive a call when it was ready and that parking would not be charged due to the delay, however I was still charged the $60 parking fee.I called reception at 4.30 pm to follow up and was told someone would call me back, which did not happen. At 5 pm I returned to reception and was then placed in a different room to what I had booked, with no discussion or adjustment to the rate. The only compensation offered was a later checkout, which was not useful as we were leaving before standard checkout anyway.I am not expecting perfection, but clearer communication and follow through would have made a big difference. At the end of it all, an apology alone did not feel adequate given the experience.

Clean and conveniently located

0 value for money except for the location- my room view was terrible, the room layout was bizarre and basic. The bedroom tv was not easily connected to Netflix as we had to use our phones. No pool towels provided. No power point on one side of the bed to convieniantly charge phones. Additionally, we had problems with the pool access tag, someone had to let us in every time. Very basic for the money paid.

The size of the suite was great! Having in suite laundry and cooking facilities was grand!The pool was nice
