staff all friendly reception very helpful - felt safe - event though some people said the area is dodgy - good roomgreat common areas - lift fast - stairs good -

need small table next to couch to put tv controller / drink on - or move the table in the bedroom that seems to have little purpose but to hold towels - its perfect for the side otf the couch view average but upto expectations due to location.

Noisy AC

Fantastic location, walking distance to the event we attended and was lovely strolling around the neighbourhood.

The shower had a foul looking stain/growth in the bottom of it and didn't look clean - we both avoided having a shower as we didn't want to step foot in a dirty shower. The bed also had a strange smell when I slept in it.

Was a value for money, comfortable room close to the CBD

Proximity to the city was good but unfortunately there were some deros around the area.

I love the old charm of the place. The parking is so convenient. The Free breakfast has all the usual, eggs bacon, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee Tea and fruit juice.

There was nothing I didn’t like

Lovely hotel tucked away from the main street and still so close to everything. The room provided was very clean and quiet, with occasional birdsong and very little traffic. The decor and furnishings are homely and well maintained, making it feel comfortable and welcoming, as well as nice and cool in the heat. All the staff are professional, friendly and courteous and the entry/exit was very well lit for use when it’s dark. Will definitely try and stay again.

The mugs are too small for a decent coffee but that's not a deal breaker

The location is close to Potts Point cafes, Garden Island Naval Base and several good pubs.

This hotel was originally set up as an aged care facility and has much of the original character of an aged care facility or hospital. The rooms lack character and as noted more like an aged care room furniture and cheap wall print. I would suggest if you work in a hospital or similar facility, you would think you are back at work in an old facility. The room description notes a balcony but it in reality it is a shared common area. The room door handle and lock is not great and could easily be broken. McElhome Street is very run down with plenty of street rubbish and issues with surrounding neighbours.

Had very dated feel with clinical feeling bathrooms. I suspect it was an old aged care facility.

* Breakfast was included* We got our room graciously upgraded* The manager is super nice and the staff will treat you well! Rooms were cleaned exceptionally well every day * The hotel is only a short walk away from the city center and the Opera House (or an Uber ride, if you're feeling lazy)

Exactly what I needed! As a solo traveler I felt safe and well taken care of. I was able to access the guest lounge at the hotel after my flight got in early which was greatly appreciated.

Free breakfast was definitely a bonus, would gladly stay again just for that! Also the receptionist is so lovely and sweet, she was delightful as the face of the hotel.Layout is very nice, the courtyards for every room are a welcome touch.

Alarm sound for breakfast which I understand the intention of but it is Loud and a bit obtrusive.
