From the moment we entered the room, there was an overwhelming and unpleasant disinfectant smell.Late at night, countless cockroaches appeared all over the walls and floor.We had booked for three nights, but checked out immediately and requested a 100% refund. However, the hotel refused, claiming there was “no evidence” and that they had offered a room change.No evidence? A hotel staff member came to the room and personally witnessed the situation. Unfortunately, I’m unable to attach the videos. It was truly horrifying to see cockroaches crawling and hiding underneath my suitcase.At 5 a.m. on Christmas morning, we carried our luggage and moved to a friend’s place. Later that evening, both of us vomited everything we had eaten, and then suffered from abdominal pain and dizziness for the next two days.This hotel ruined not only our Sydney trip, but also our health.It is infuriating that this property is still listed on Booking.com.We will be filing a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading in Australia.Please avoid this place at all costs.

Great location, clean and comfortable. Great variety of places to eat, close to supermarkets and all shops you could wish for.Family friendly with everything you need if you choose to cook meals.Well equipped laundry.Staff attended and auctioned any concerns we had.

My husband had difficulty stepping out and coming in from the balcony. Next time we book I'll ask for an accessable room.It would be handy to have a broom in the room.

It’s worth it for the price. Very good location. The room is big and clean. Have everything I need.

Great location to wander around downtown Sydney. Only 30min walk from the Sydney Opera House. We only stayed a couple of days but the location was good!

The rooms are not at all sound-proof from the street noises unfortunately. Also, the curtains do not close all the way, so it is not fully dark at night… Finally, the parking is very expensive (50 A$ per night). Given the pricing of the room, parking could be included…Overall it was a great stay even with these negative aspects.

We catch the train to Sydney, so we love the close proximity to Central station. A 5-minute walk up Pitt Street or light rail to Chinatown. We love to have a swim in our beautiful harbor. A quick trip on the light rail from Chinatown to Circular Quay then a relaxing ferry ride to Watsons Bay and a nice stroll to Camp cove or Lady Bay beach.

We stayed 2 nights and really loved to close proximity to the Coles Supermarket and having the Kitchen facilities. Our home away from home in the city! Close to everything, lovely big room with a great size balcony and so homely and comfy. We had a busy weekend with a concert and the Airshow yet still were able to relax. ??

Not 1 thing! ✨?

Location was central to many transport such as Town Hall, Museum and Central Stations and visitor options. Was also directly across street from Coles grocery store. Bed linens and pillows were good and clean, bed was comfortable, but it was two twins shoved together so the seam between the two was uncomfortable. Having a patio window was also nice to have fresh air breeze come into room. Carpet was clean; no foul scent in room. Luggage storage was helpful.

I had three rooms in two back-to-back stays at this APX... Room #1 The refrigerator done "blowed up" at arrival, tripping breakers and going into alarm mode once reset by APX. Room #2 Was very pleasant, washer was little yucky, but everything else worked well (Fridge, Stove/Oven, Washer-Dryer, TV, Wifi,, etc... There were no 'wash-clothes' provided. A/C and heat thermostat did not work, but weather was fine enough to open patio window. Stay was good in this room and I asked if possible that on my next stay (that was coming up in two days after check-out) to have same room, Reception said yes and made a note on my upcoming reservation. This did not happen and got room three which brought down what was going to be a great rating...Room #3, Dishwasher a bit yuck again, gnats in the bathroom drain, Dryer would not work (no tumbler), Tv would not access any channels or internet, Wi-Fi kept going out. Kitchen also had missing dishware (no cereal bowls, spatulas, etc.) Also no 'wash-cloths' provided in this bathroom either. I did not request change of room or repair as I did not want to waste our visit to Sydney by having APX staff work on appliances.I selected APX based on: price, location, safety/cleanliness and most of all the "apartment amenities" such as operational, kitchen appliances, and washer/dryer. So when so many of those "failed" to operate and could not even access basic cable to watch news in morning? My rating dropped significantly as the room was not up to par or as advertised, but would still stay for those who don't need things like washer/dryer, kitchenet or Tv, it's good for minimal stays.

Location was excellent for our trip needs. Great restaurants all around, market across the street, tram line one block away.

Maybe curtains rather than blinds to stop morning light but overall, nothing we didn't like.

Surprised by the size of the apartment.

Front entrance was a little hard to find and awkward to arrive at but that was only because we were on foot and it was raining.

Room was great. Very clean. Close to everything. Grocery store in mall was convenient.

Kitchen needed potholders. It also would be great to have a USB port for international customers to charge phones.

The location is right in the heart of the CBD. Close to all public transport options, pubs, eateries and shopping. The facilities were basic, but sufficient.

The facility is clean but a bit dated. The floor we stayed on smelt a bit like cigarette smoke. The staff are not overly friendly or helpful.

Proximity to station, shops, transport. Spacious comfortable room.

Close to the city center, the supermarkets, center station..Fast & good internet..Nice receptionists & helpfull also..?

Only the view near other office buildings, but its stil ok for my family.

The staff here are terrible. Corporate is terrible. If you expect an ethical, conscious problem solving response to their own failures in adhering to their own noise policies, you will not get it here. They will gaslight you, manipulate and essentially lie to your face.

It's literally at the center. You're near Chinatown, which is still open late at night. Both the Tram rail and Subway station are a couple of minutes' walk from the Apartment Hotel. You're also near a Coles for cheap food and souvenirs.

Since our room is quite big, there's a part of the room where we can't figure out how to turn on the lights. The beds are also not the best, but they are still comfortable. No bidets as well, for a room focused on accessibility (though I think this is a non-issue for the majority)

This unit was basic (old furnishings) however the layout and full kitchen made up for a few old laminated tables and coffee tables. Balcony was great also
