    Pros +

    • The location was central to shopping/eating/bars/transportation. With a wide variety to eac.
    • Great location with easy access to trains and light rail. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Rooms are small, but have a feeling of luxury and are very quiet. Lovely bathroom.
    • Great location right near central and Thai town! Love the early check in at 2pm. The room was actually really modern and nice, loved the bathroom! Friendly staff, easy check in and out process. Would stay here again.

    Cons -

    • There was DEMOLOTITION/CONSTRUCTION on the hotel 24/7!! ? Yes even at 3:00/4:00 AM!! It was very loud, ongoing, and 24/7. The staff moved me to an upper floor, but it was only slightly quieter.
    • Its very dirty and so noisy with all the youngsters partying in the lounge.
    • The main light fixture in the room (807) has several broken pieces which need to be replaced.

Super welcoming and helpful staff Great location walking distance all placesEnjoyed bar mixed reception with blues lyrics

No window rooms, as a mediterrenean sprit I understood that I cant make room without window and sunshineLucy we are, We have upgraded our room to a king after 1 st night disappointment

    9NabillaPosted on: 10-15-2025

Stayed for a couple nights and we were upgraded (thank you to the sweet lady at the front desk!) Loved the design and interior of the hotel. Location was great too, genuinely just a hop away from the CBD. Bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds I've slept on.

Though the filtered water supplied in the room was refillable, guests had to go down to the bar to get it refilled. Would be great if it was replaced when rooms are being cleaned. Otherwise, our stay was very lovely.

    Location is pretty central

Broken airconditioning at night so wasn't able to sleep, was then provided a greasy electric fan, front desk when checking out was quite rude when you tell them about the broken AC, offer no apologies like it was my problem.

Great place to stay for the Sydney marathon. Our room was quite large and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and the shower was wonderful.

    Not much natural light.

Charmingly eccentric. Room was small but extremely comfortable and well appointed. It was literally 50 metres from the theatre. Also, there are wonderful fresh food eateries all around it. The $49 pre-theatre dinner was delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. Parking under the World Market Tower up the street was easier than I had feared.

Nothing. It is a fun place. One of the few nice hotels I’ve stayed in lately where the bar is also the reception.

The decor of the room was nice and the bathroom was very nice.

    The hotel didn't provide slippers

Cosy rooms. Real classic Boutique hotel. Best location, and the staff are amazing.

Not sure there is something to dislike there.

    10RachelPosted on: 4-23-2025

Rooms were elegant, as it was mid week I received an upgrade. Staff were lovely and welcoming.

    The French toast was amazing!!

We had glass in our bed, but reception did bring up bandaids.

    9DeannePosted on: 4-17-2025

Beautiful decor, excellent location (Chinatown, Thai restaurants, theatre, excellent Thai massage nearby).Great looking bar at entrance - I didn't get to try any food or drink but definitely will next time. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean room with lovely touches like hair straightener and refillable water bottle.Rooms are small, but this is not a negative in my view and I was impressed with the efficient use of space.I was on the 4th floor and heard no noise from the street.Late checkout 11am is a treat. Would stay again and recommend.

If you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs as the air-conditioning and water pipes can be loud at night. However this is expected in an older renovated building and after dessert from one of the Thai dessert bars nearby I slept soundly.

The location of the hotel is very central in Sydney. The room was quite small, way smaller than what you would expect from the pictures, but still nice, welcoming and clean.

Nothing really, just the room was smaller than expected

    3DashniPosted on: 4-14-2025

The initial room we were given was on the 1sr floor right beside the public toilets and the whole floor had a very strong disinfectant smell that was overpowering. When we asked for a change in room we were made to pay 70 dollars more for another room to which we had to pay as the smell was too much to handle

Great location - easily accessible from the airport and very easy to walk to main attractions. Room was comfy and easy to get additional supplies of water etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had previously read reviews about it being suitable for solo female travellers and there seemed to be a number of us. Hotel and area felt safe. Good choice at breakfast.

There was some noise from local construction activity which started early and ended late but didn't impact on my sleep!

    8KatePosted on: 3-22-2025

Incredibly clean, very easy check in, great location, room itself was good - large shower area and comfortable bed. Nice atmosphere. Have stayed here before and will stay again

At breakfast there was one staff member on the floor and three staff standing behind a counter chatting. The poor girl working the floor was run off her feet. Not very team oriented. Breakfast itself was ordinary - too costly for what is provided and not well presented. Overrated!
