Pros +
- Amazing location - right in the heart of Sydney CBD.
- Great location, nice room
- Close proximity to city & its surroundings.
Cons -
- The facilities were obviously lacking - no pool, no restaurant, etc.
- Really expensive for a single night
- Extreme price for 1 nights accommodation. I felt that the disabled room was placed up at the last second to maximise profits. A bit noisy due to hearing guests arrive & leave (loud talkers) near elevator. No streaming service, particularly for the price! I guess hotels have the monopoly when it comes to Sydney, I have never experienced such difficulties & such high prices in the CBD. So sad as it’s my home town!!

The area proved ideal for both retail therapy and entertainment, with flagship stores just a short stroll away and the historic Theater Royal just around the corner, offering constant world‑class productions. Despite the bustling commercial hub, the streets remained pleasantly quiet and the area felt unmistakably safe, allowing visitors to wander freely at any hour. Reliable public‑transport links meant navigating the district was effortless, turning a simple outing into a seamless, enjoyable experience.
The hotel, despite its high price, was disappointing. The room felt cramped and Claustrophobic, the bathroom was poorly maintained with broken tiles and a sink drain that appeared blocked, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, storage was limited, especially hanging space and the hot beverage selection appeared inadequate and unhygienic. There was also a constant sewerage smell coming through the air-conditioned.
Great cbd location.good size room and bed
We were kept awake all night by loud machinery/plant noise in the roof which duty manager said was not part of room aircon. Told we had received a room upgrade but in fact unable to ignore the constant roar like a plane droning on and on and departed early Sunday morning feeling absolutely shattered. A 30% discount did not lessen our disappointment. Will not be back to Sebel Martin Place
great little kitchen, good bed, handy location
steps to lobby
Location
It was extremely over priced.Had to ask them to clean the room every daySmall room. No fresh air
The location was a little far for us but the Martin Place Station is close by which is good. Lovely friendly and helpful Staff.
Only step access to the front of the hotel. The room was much smaller than expected for a Superior King Room but was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable could do with more pillows perhaps 2 bottles of free water and more information on In Room services and the hotel itself.
Location was perfect for a show at the State Theartre! Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
The vanity basin was not draining properly so i removed the plug so cleaners could see if was full of hair. the plug was just put back in place without cleaning. Otherwise everything was great!
Close to work.
Very unclean. I noticed stains on the bed linen and floor.
Location was the reason we booked at Martin PlaceSmall , Bed good, king size

Close to the mall and restaurants, and business district. Fairly quiet at night.
The cleaning needs work. The mini bar items were all dusty, there was short black hair in the bed sheet, and the bowl had a cornflake stuck to it.
The standard was slow our expectation. No eating facilities or in room service. We had been charged twice and there was reluctance to help rectify the situation.
Not enough space or time. We would not recommend nor stay there again. We spoke with some other guests who had paid considerably much less than us
Lovely clean close to everything. The restaurant across the street was great for breakfast.
Beds were a bit stiff. They did put an extra pad on it but it still was a bit too firm for me.
We liked the service, free upgrade, location, beds and pillows were fantastic, amenities were also nice.
The shower had some mould and moisture damage, as well as the room being a bit dusty. Otherwise fine.
Good central location, reasonably priced
Pity lift doesn’t take you down to B1 or B2 in Wilson carpark
The Sebel team were incredibly friendly, helpful, supportive and made my granddaughters first holiday experience magical.
We were upgraded to a Deluxe King Room. The bed was fantastic. There was enough space in the room even though we were only there for 1 night. The location was perfect as we were at a concert in the Domain. Staff were very helpful on check in and check out.
Cleaning was very poor Carpets were very dirtyAnd sheets had hairs on them
Cleaning
Great location. Comfy bed.
Had to fix running water in toilet.Shower water pressure terrible.
