    Pros +

    • The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and they allowed us to leave our bags so we could do some sight seeing. Our room was spacious and the light breakfast was appreciated.
    • Staff were very helpful. Location was very good for the Aware SuperTheatre. Bar food was very good.
    • Great location, friendly staff, clean and very comfortable. Perfect if you’re going to a concert at the ICC. Overall I was really happy with the room.

    Cons -

    • Our air conditioner didn't work well but it was enough to get by. Also, we were warned about the karaoke but it did get loud Saturday night.
    • Traffic noise was a problem. If the windows were double glazed that would have helped a lot. The exhaust fan duct made a lot of noise also until the kitchen shut at 10pm.
    • Really minor things, the TV didn’t work, with constant wifi buffering, and a bit noisy from music downstairs, but hey it’s a pub so not unexpected. I wasn’t there to sit in the room all night, so other than that, it was really good accommodation.

Near to Chinatown and darling habour by walking distance , near to light rail and bus stop, but the room is quite dusty . location is based at the roadside, can hear bike n car noise , and the traffic sound

Super central location, easy to walk to conference center and Darling Harbor. Bit noisy as on a main road. Excellent cafes very close by. Cute building!

    Bathroom needed updating.

Staff are exceptional very welcoming & nothing is a problem , bar restaurant & rooms are so clean they should be very proud

    8KitriPosted on: 4-23-2025

They had complementary cereal, bread, toast, juice, water and tea and coffee available all hrs. The location so close to the inner city, particularly China town and Paddy's market was fantastic. Excellent hot water and an ensuite. The windows are double glazed

Better blinds to keep out the city lights

The location was great!. We were only there for the weekend, so the location was great to walk to everything we needed. We also loved the old charm of the building.

Unfortunately the street traffic noise was an issue and kept us up at night. Better block out windows and curtains may have helped.Just a heads up for anyone with large heavy suitcases. There's no elevator and the staircase is steep and narrow.

    8BerndPosted on: 4-7-2025

The location was perfect. Close to downtown and public transportation.

The room and bathroom need some maintenance and upgrading.

Absolutely fantastic 1 night stay.Erin was incredible - top notch and we will stay here again when we come back to Sydney. We will also recommend to all our Country Victoria friends. Bed linen was immaculate and the meals delicious. The lovely curly hair chap that lugged our suitcases could not have been more helpful or obliging. Thank you Erin, your warm smile and helpful nature was super impressive.

    Absolutely nothing!

Location is near china town, near downtown and central station

Bathroom was a disaster; mold in shower, no towel holder, disorganized. Flood light on and shined in room. Food in pub is expensive. Check in is in pub

    7ElisabethPosted on: 4-4-2025

Small breakfast included, not far from city center

    Noise/music from the bar downstairs

    10GeanaPosted on: 4-3-2025

It was so quaint and very, very nice staff. It was small and awesome!! Had a lot of fun. Their food was excellent.

The location is fantastic, you can walk to just about anywhere in central Sydney if you so wish. It is also very close to 2 light rail stops and bus stopsThe room was the queen with balcony, it was a decent size, bit tired in terms of condition.Bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping was excellent, as were all the staff I came across. Really very nice people. The fridge in the room was topped up daily with various items, bread, milk, fruit juices.

The noise, the noise was catastrophic. Not so much from the Pub itself, which is to be expected. No problem with that at all. it is what it is. It is a pub.It was the noise from the street, traffic generally, all hours. The whine from the fridge and the whine from the aircon.I sorted it with some silicone earplugs, which were a life saver. This may not be a problem from everyone, but I really struggled with it

    6TamaraPosted on: 3-28-2025

The staff was kind and helpful.

I don’t think the room ever had a deep clean. The sheets and towels were clean but everything else… it seemed like there were years worth layers and layers of dust at some parts. I was also welcomed by previous guest’s pubes in the shower cabin.

    9TjarlesPosted on: 3-23-2025

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the ICC, where I had an exhibition. The food and drinks at the pub below are absolutely fantastic. The staffs are helpful and kind - as one of them helped me to book the silver taxi for my early morning flight back to Bali, really appreciate it, mate!

There is no lift on the premises, so extra effort is required if you have a large suitcase like mine. But it was fine with me

    10MichellePosted on: 3-22-2025

Clean comfortable, staff amazing, food so yummy., quiet, very close to ICC and darling harbour.

    8LilyanaPosted on: 3-21-2025

Close to ICC as had a concert there, reasonably priced, staff were lovely

AC and fan struggled to keep us cool, tight squeeze through the front door up to accommodation if you are carrying luggage, loud music but understandable with the pub downstairs

    7SuzannePosted on: 3-15-2025

The proximity to the ICC and darling harbour .The Checkin procedure was brilliant with the assistance of a kiwi guy who was very welcoming .

Traffic noise late into the night. The sliding security latch on my door room no 2 was broken and as a solo woman traveller I felt vulnerable in the event of a forced entry .

    7RobinPosted on: 3-13-2025

Good location, close to work, friendly staff.

Windows couldn't be opened in the room I stayed in. Unfortunately some vermin fell out of the AC.
