Oaks Sydney Hyde Park Suites

Great room, overlooking Hyde Park. It had a well-appointed kitchen, although we didn’t use it as we only stayed one night.

WiFi was poor

Location and staff were great. Free upgrade was an added bonus.

Strange smell on the 11th floor and a lot of full time tenants living on our floor and rooms/apartments could do with a paint and an extraction fan in the bathroom.

Very spacious. Comfortable bed. Kitchen. Warm. Great views. Central location. Excellent value for money.

WiFi was sporadic at times. Noise of building works.

Not nice, would never recommend to anyone

Everything, very old building, a horrible smell throughout the hotel. Would never recommend, we where in room 904 for 12 nights and only came back to the room to sleep it was that bad

Easy to check in, good size room with balcony & kitchen.

No ice - when I enquired was told to go & buy a bag from IGA etc - this was a first - was told it was for health reasons - first time I have ever heard that excuse. No hand towel provided.

TV channels didn't work was told i should have asked for a room with a new TV. The carpet was wet. Dishwasher was out of order. Toilet didn't flush properly. When we spoke about it they said nobody has complained before and we did upgrade you. We didn't ask to be upgraded and all was offered 20% refund.

Location mostly, and nice inside.

The stuff bit rude and bit expensive.

The suite was large with a kitchen and sitting area. I liked the pool and spa area. The elevators worked very efficiently, no long waits. Staff obliged my requests. The central location was good, a short walk to Museum Station through Hyde Park.

Access to Netflix didn't work. The Internet was sporadic, dropped out often, but staff assisted with both problems.

Location across the road from Hyde Park was great. Only a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour. Room was large and spacious. Nice to have a ranch slider to open to the small balcony. Bed was huge & comfortable. Kitchen was well provisioned.

Bathroom was small & hard to move around. Stayed for a week so would have been nice to have a room with a better view. Although room not serviced, replacement towels and additional tea/coffee would have been great to have been offered.

Location was good, close to amenities.

The room was below average, very disappointing, Looked very different from the pictures advertised. The queen bed was comfy but we had an extra person so requested an extra bed. Very disappointed in what we got. The bathroom had a plumbing issue where the floors would flood each time we showed, not sure if it was just our room.

Window had a large crack in it. Hot water in shower had varying pressure.

Location was excellent for my plans (mostly around the NSW Art Gallery). Lovely to have Hyde Park across the way. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was great. Toiletries were very pleasant. Pricing was good value for such a central location.

Only improvement would have been to have a full length mirror on the wall in the walk-in wardrobe.

Great Location, close to public transport. Room was very quiet, hotel generally quiet also.

Room looked a little tired, but it was very clean. The window blinds didn't meet in the centre, left a gap for the sun to shine directly onto the head of the bed in the mornings

Amazing rooftop pool, hot tub, sauna and gym with a skyline view of Sydney! Spacious room with everything we needed, accommodating staff and excellent location in Sydney.

The bathroom a bit outdated, perhaps built in the 90s. It could do with a renovation.

Location is great and near to CBD.

Limited options for food and expensive

Great value for money. We were impressed with the size of the rooms and loved having access to a kitchen and lounge. Stunning views of Hyde Park and we enjoyed relaxing in the spa after a long day. It was a short walk to the "Museum" train station where you could get a train straight to the airport.

1 of the rooms we booked were clearly much older than the other, the whole room had a yellow tone to it. Both bathrooms could do with new sealant and the water wouldn't stay a consistent temperature. There were no powerpoints near the bed which made charging our phones inconvenient.

Between 2:30 and 3:30 AM, there was a significant disturbance directly outside my room, characterised by loud yelling and the sound of glass being smashed. I believe the person was staying in the room opposite mine, but the sound was in the hallway. As a female guest staying alone, I felt extremely unsafe and vulnerable during this time. The noise and commotion not only disrupted my sleep but also caused considerable anxiety and distress. This incident has severely undermined my confidence in the safety and security measures at this hotel. In the morning, I told the person at reception that there was still glass on the floor and asked whether there had been action taken with this event, but did not receive a satisfactory response
