Hotel Van Walsum

The bed was VERY comfortable (I have a lot of orthopedic injuries so this is very important), and the room was large and clean. Bathroom was good, good water pressure and heat. Towel heater was nice. Wifi worked well. Staff were very friendly.

They only provide soap, no shampoo and no body lotion. Hair dryer is a bit silly. Breakfast was not worth the EUR 17,00 tbh, but good enough in a pinch.

I was really nicely surprised with this hotel. I had to stay in this area but I didnt expect anything special. But it’s very nice, decent and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Illy coffee machine with capsules that they fill in every day. Pretty comfortable big desk if you need to use your laptop. Metro is 5 mins walking. Elevator

Sound proof could be better especially in morning hours when cleaning ladies start working. Neighborhood is not the best in Rdam.

My room was small but not tiny, and comfortable. It had a nice little balcony facing the courtyard, and was quiet. The room had an Illy coffee machine and capsules and a refrigerator. I appreciated both, as I like to have breakfast in my room (and had some medication to refrigerate). Hotel also well located. I ate some delicious mussels at a very nearby café one night.

Friendly staff, super clean, comfy bed and bedding, charming decor, excellent hot breakfast with lots of variety, great location, steps from tram stops. Highly recommend!

The staff were indifferent to our presence. Not overly friendly. It was like we were interrupting their day. The picture on Booking. Com was deceptive. It made it look like a grand mansion whereas it was just an old hotel undergoing renovations.

I got the top floor room and it was super cozy

I got a very spacious and equipped apartment. Everything was very neat and organized. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing, they had so many different options for (eggs, juices, coffees, charcuterie, cheeses, jams, bakery, etc). I really enjoyed having variety every day, plus the hall is cozy and perfect to start the day. I even stayed there to finish some work. They also have sitting outdoors. It was such an amazing stay.

I had a fantastic stay in every aspect.

Perfect location to the city centre and the Train Station. The staff are so friendly and helpful.Jos who received us at reception was extremely friendly and welcoming.He provided us with a map and all the places to see in the city, including the way to catch the water bus to Kinderdijk to see the windmills. Highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Rotterdam.

Room was small (I had a single), but clean.

I could hear guest in near by room and hallway due to creaking floorboards.

The staff are being very polite, respectful and helpful!

The entrance is quite tight - if you're on a wheelchair or with a kinderwagen, you're going to struggle. They have an elevator though

Lovely property with a nice garden, but parking is a real hassle.

If you have a big car, please be warned that the entrance to the parking garage is quite narrow. You have to drive back a few buildings to get to the garage + it was a nightmare getting in. No aircon in the room.

Beautiful Van Gogh wallpaper room in a little nice hotel in walking distance of the top attractions.The staff was nice and helpful and the breakfast was really good.

Location down a quiet street but close to the centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed and bedding comfortable and shower hot and easy to use. Handy to have a fridge in the room.
