Pros +
- No there was nothing wrong with the hotel except it was supposed to be in Amsterdam not Rotterdam. Amsterdam was from the 2nd of June to the 6th of June. Rotterdam from the 18th of June to the 21 of June then back to the airport in Amsterdam airport
- The staff is great!! Very friendly and helpfull. Also the co-working space is great. If you want to combine a stay and a place where you can work remote, I'd definitely recommend this place. It also is quite vibrant and there is a tramstop very near by.
- The big room, the staff was unbelievably friendly
Cons -
- We reserved a room with bath because my partner is ill. When we arrived in the room, there was no bath. Even though the start wasn't great, the receptionist changed the room for us and offered us a free breakfast, which was a nice surprise.
- No parking (only on the streets), that's all
- Staff: night staff wasn't in the attitude level to solve our problem from the start (I need to come to her again)

I love this place! I stayed here for 5 months when I was on exchange 8 years ago. I also stayed here 2 years ago for a few nights with my partner while on holiday. This was my third time staying here and everything has always been amazing. Lovely staff, modern building, friendly atmosphere, nice rooms, great value for money. The cafe/bar is also lovely and good value for money. No issues at all with our stay. I would recommend it to everyone.
Location: easy access from train station (having tram stop nearby).Staff: friendly and nice staff during check in and check out.Room: clean and having nice view.
Staff: night staff wasn't in the attitude level to solve our problem from the start (I need to come to her again)
The cafe downstairs is nice. The wifi is good. There is a nightshop 20m away.
I am usually a big fan of the Social Hub brand, I have previously stayed in Amsterdam and Porto and loved it, but the one in Rotterdam is disappointing. The room is very small, you could tell from the pictures, but it is smaller in real life. There should be more space to work in the common areas. The gym is a bit wornout, one of the machines was not working half the time. When they cleaned the room, they didn't really clean it, they just replaced the towels. This one is made more for students and less for tourista
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It had a mini kitchen with a fridge, Nespresso coffee refilled daily with four pods, and a selection of teas. The bathroom was perfectly sized. We also loved the thoughtful touch of Tony’s Chocolonely chocolates and a handwritten welcome card. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure our stay was comfortable.Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options. It was delicious and definitely worth the price. The gym was a great bonus, and there were lots of games to play as well as awesome chill-out areas.
Good location. We hired bikes and cycled around 1 hour to Kinderdijk which was lovely and picturesque. Bikes can be hired directly from the hotel at a good price. The building itself is huge. Great breakfast room with good breakfast and the pool area was really nice to relax in. The staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly.
Only minus point would be that after we checked out we were not able to play pool but very minor.
Co working facilities and restaurant nd Nespresso in the rooms
Nothing really to mention
Room was large and comfortable with great views - check in very easy and staff more than helpful. Recommend taking the water taxi at night, stops right in front of hotel. Connection by tram to central station very easy.
Can be a little noisy at night with some student guests, but room was quiet. Sadly bar shuts early.
The location is very good directly at the WILLEM RUYSLAAN tram station (use line 1 or 11 to get from/to Central Station or to Rotterdam University = OUDE PLANTAGE). Metro is 5 minutes walk, but you don't need it to get to the city center - stations KEIZERSTRAAAT/BEURS.The reception desk is 10/10 perfectly trained and super nice. Also waiters, janitors super super nice. The corridors and creative communication is excellent. We loved it.Rooms - we always carry our own Nespresso maschine. We didn't have to as there is one (part of a mini-kitchen) in the room. You get 4 original capsules and 2 small bottles with water (*but only as a welcome, they are not being supplied for your whole stay). They have a very good brand of personal care products (soap/shampoo/hand cream).Water pressure in the shower was very good in the early morning and late in the evening, was not good from like 9 a.m. and early evening (presumably the students are showering at that time). The breakfast during workin days (less crowded) was good quality - coffee/smoothies/tea, but with a limited variety. The students in the corridors were super nice, quiet.
We had room orientation in the inner part of the building. There are no curtains on the windows, so the students can clearly see you from a very near distance. We had to close the blackout curtains which was not very comfortable during the day. Maybe it's a local way of living, but we missed at least an elementary privacy. The pillows were very very soft, next time I would literally buy one just for the stay (but that's might be just me).You have a kitchen but zero equipment - cups, plates, spoon, anything. You miss equipment also in the bathroom - toothbrush cup, etc. It's shame the coffee capsules and water are not being restocked. The weekend breakfast is not well managed. There is one very nice cook who has zero change to deliver everything needed. I would recommend to add support for the kitchen. The variety of breakfast is an issue after 3-4 days.
They have everything. Free snacks, free laundry and gym. Also very near tram, accessible. Reception is amazing and welcoming.
It’s noisy. I can hear footsteps from ceiling. Door closing outside the room. I feel like walls are thin and rooms are not soundproof. Seriously, every sound i can hear. It was so hard to sleep. Elevators are so slow, takes ages just to go down and up.

Very spacious room with a kitchenetteGreat breakfast Friendly and helpful staff Location was ok for my purpose: Erasmus university is around 20-30 min walk, close to the tram station
Poor sound isolation in the room Poor lighting in the bathroom, wish there was more light around the mirrorYou have to borrow a heavy kitchen set from the receptionNot that I didn't like it but you have to be aware that this hotel functions truly as a social hub, which means there are a lot of spaces on the ground floor to cowork and socialize. There is also a gym and laundry but I didn't use them.Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
Very nice studio to stay in Rotterdam for a few days. Well connected via public transport with the tram stop just across the road.
Free laundry self service is a plus! Very clean, right next to the tram station that takes you straight to Rotterdam Central station, good cooking facilities (but wish there’s salt, pepper and oil), quiet and friendly staff
The Social Hub Rotterdam was a wonderful surprise — a place that still proudly carries its roots as former student accommodation, and in the best possible way. Its youthful spirit and creative energy give the hotel a fun, welcoming atmosphere that makes it stand out from more traditional stays. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile or suggestion, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal. The self-service laundromat in the basement was an absolute godsend — practical, easy to use, and a small detail that makes long stays or extended travel so much easier. The café on the ground floor served excellent coffee and offered great vegan options, making it the perfect spot to start the day or unwind after exploring the city. The hotel is also easily reachable by tram from Rotterdam Central Station, which made getting around effortless. My room had an amazing view of the river and city, and while the amenities were simple, everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. For anyone travelling on a budget, it offers fantastic value without compromising on style or atmosphere. The Social Hub manages to blend comfort, community, and creativity — a perfect choice for travellers who enjoy friendly faces, good coffee, and a touch of fun.
Atmosphere, location, big room
Spacious room and good location.Nice breakfast!
When we arrived around midnight reception was first empty with no chance to reach anyone. We waited for around 30min until someone showed up, we got the card to our room, but once we entered it turned out it was already occupied and someone was sleeping in there.. they were really confused about how to handle this and it took another hour until we had a different room.
