Good location, huge comfy bed, very good value for money if you want to visit Lourdes. Easy parking opposite the hotel on the road.

Its all a bit dated decor wise and we didnt pay extra for the breakfast but all in all a good budget option with nice views overlooking the river and easy parking. They even lent us an umbrella as it was raining.

Messed us around with inaccurate, alarmist, unnecessary messaging saying we would have to change hotel. First staff member let his team down by being quite abrupt, each subsequent staff member was very nice.

Waste bin is broken and heavy and it's in a dangerous condition .Bed room window door beside kitchen is broken and hurts my finger

There was a problem with the hot water in the Hotel Du Gave apparently, so we were transferred to the nearby sister Hotel 'the Pyramyle'? (not sure of the spelling) so this review actually applies to that location. Given that it was very 'off season' in Lourdes with 90% of local hotels and businesses closed, the Pyramyle was clean, welcoming and adequate for the modest price paid. Overlooking the river with underground (or on-the-street parking for about €10 daily) and very quiet both night and day, we enjoyed a peaceful, uninterrupted sleep. The bar in the entrance foyer was also a nice addition, and the staff were helpful and friendly - even though our French was far from perfect.. ;-)

It's hard to say where 'the centre' of Lourdes is, because the grotto and basilica are about 10 mins walk away, and the rest of the main town is the same. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that there were only two locations nearby where we could eat after 5pm (in mid-December) and only one of those had fresh, hot, (and a bit expensive) food.

Received email notification (only in French)from this hotel stated they are under renovation so they rearranged us to stay in Hotel Peyramale Lourdes instead. All this ratings above are not related to Hotel Du Gave. Good thing was they provided layers of warm bed quilts and nice river view throughout the window!

For Hotel Peyramale Lourdes - Very simple hotel room setting but a bit not so clean on bed mattresses with obvious stain and old linens.

Hello, I booked Hotel Du Gave for the money I thought I would arrive and spent night in the room like on the picture, but I ended up in a different hotel with a different name with perhaps lower standards. So we can say I was cheated on.

Location close to all restaurants and church's .

No shampoo, or they use handshop instead of shampoo. Lucky, I'm only booked for 1

Very close to the Sanctuary! And good value for money!

Need a carpet renovation.Shower boot could be bigger. A bigger person may feel some discomfort.

Nice balcony, location near the main area which is walkable.Lift in the place works very well.

If alone you may find not having a proper reception area off putting but otherwise it is ideal for those who travel together.

Nice river and mountain view, quiet, staff was responsive and nice.

Location wise it was Perfect, just few minutes walk to Bus Station and to Grotto. The area has a good scenery and good restaurants.

There is no cover for the blanket, i think the building is also old... i can hear the noise from the hallway and on the street.

The location was excellent and the room was clean and exactly as shown in the pictures . The view from the balcony was beautiful . Very close to the Sanctuary and all amenities.

The bath area in the washroom was too small but the toilet altogether was spacious and big .

Nothing. I've stayed here before. Its been updated and as a good, honest basic hotel it works just fine. Both ladies on reception were super kind and efficient

I asked for a twin facing the river & that’s exactly what I got . There was a little issue my gaining access into the hotel as my flight was delayed & the hotel receptionist had left early but there was a note on the door to go to a hotel two doors away to get checked in . Once I realised that everything was fine . Staff were great , room was brilliant for the money . Quite a large twin with a separate bathroom & toilet . Spectacular views . Very clean although the hallways & some furnishings a bit rough round the edges . Breakfast was taken at the sister hotel 2 doors away which was lovely . I would definitely book again & price was excellent . I loved my stay.

Rooms are basic. Not sure of the three star. Not even a kettle, which are found in very basic hotels.
