    Pros +

    • Location was good. Fairly clean.
    • Location
    • this was the perfect location, right along the "footsteps of bernardette" path, so close to the main cathedral and steps away from the fortress with amazing views of the town. The staff was perfect, very friendly and helpful when we needed them. The view from our window was absolutely spectacular and exactly what we hopes for.

    Cons -

    • The restaurant was awful in every respect. For a supposedely 5 star hotel it lacked basic amenities, specially for the suite we stayed in. Not worth the money paid.
    • Black walls in the hallway and fake grass inside the hotel
    • Comparatively with the rest of the hotels in the area it is definitely a higher end experience however for 2025 it does need some upgrades to aesthetically match a luxury experiences in other parts of france

Room , location , reception staff and dining service were all excellent . The tasting menu was delicious and the breakfast selection was great .

Rushed up the hill for breakfast at 1025 - as it closes at 1030 . The waitress saw us and ran into the kitchen ! She came out later to make us feel that we were late . It’s a cold buffet and if it says 1030 you should be welcome at 1025.

4th or 5th stay. Gym, sauna, pool, good breakfast, parking & location. What’s not to like.

What I liked most about my stay at the Belfry and Spa was the exceptional service. Lily was absolutely the best — she was so friendly, helpful, and went out of her way to show us around the hotel and our room, making us feel welcome right from the start

    The location was perfect.

Unable to get food or drink once breakfast has ended and dinner began (11-16:00). Rooms were small and in need of TLC. Most of the furniture was IKEA. Spa is only open on request. The hotel is vacant of staff. It was not encouraged to use the bar. I had asked for a dessert in the bar with a cocktail but was refused by the waiter. Lots of elements fell very short of a 4 star experience at a 5 star price.

Size of the roomThe restaurat was excellent, food and staff both.

Needs bigger side tables in bedroomHated the turf carpeting. In the stairs, elevator and hallways.

The staff was phenomenal. From the ladies at check in to Omron at the bar. Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We also loved the food at the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner. All excellent. Our room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows, which I love. On site parking was also great.

The decor. I hated the black hallways. The graphic artwork in the halls was fun, but overdone. All the dried flowers in the lobby. The different decorative styles all mashed together— modern shapeless sofas with elaborate crystal chandeliers. The pink mosaic tiles all over the bathroom with the mirrored ceiling. The artificial turf on the stairs and elevators. It’s such a beautiful old building! I wish someone had spent more money and expertise on the decor.

It was close to the Sanctuary and other main areas of Lourdes, but in a quieter area. Our hotel room had a nice view, with large windows that opened for fresh air. Also, the restaurant was excellent.

There was not anything that we didn’t like.

    Staff Lilly wonderful helpful.

NOT 5* Reasons:- A home gym a nasty cheap thing wasnt even built. Round jacuzzi not open, Worn carpet, Fake grass carpet in lifts and the simply incrediable loofer beddings who is responsible for turning a grandmas bikini into bedding and pillowcases; 6 of us everyone had to cover...utter madness. Not 3min from church as advertised more like 12 and a heavy walk uphill on return. And a sales push for a 27Euro breakfast I dont eat like a pig... I want a coffee and coissiont not a buffet. Finally booked a taxi at night and staff wrote down details and never booked it.

Friendly staff and great food. Location is good. Cocktails were good.

Spa feels a bit of a stretch. No sauna or steam room, no IR room etc. There was a very cold swimming pool indoors and outdoors there was a long jacuzzi which was tepid in temperature. There appeared to be a non operational hot tub covered up outside too. There is a gym which is decent. For the money the spa bit felt very underwhelming. Also weirdly they have AstroTurf on the stairs and walls of lift. Felt out of keeping with the rest of the hotel. I don't think I'd rush back for the money.

Friendly staff, great food, perfect location!

Hours for the jacuzzi and pool very limited

    10KeithPosted on: 9-20-2025

The view from the hot tub was so tranquil and relaxing. As much as the heat of the water. The staff - especially Lily at the front desk, but everyone - was perfect. Dinner was pricy at the restaurant on site, but it was spectacular! Kudos to both chefs. We ate there twice during our 10 day stay. We always travel with bicycles and the property accommodated our bikes beautifully. The hotel felt like an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy part of Lourdes.

Everything, living the rich life in the Junior Suite. I loved the balconies that I had. Being able to watch over the river. The king sized bed, a TV that is actually up to date and can connect with your phone, two arm chairs, two showers, two sinks and one bath for the bubble baths!I loved the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, watching the sunset and listening to the sound of church bells ringing away in the background. The breakfast options were spectacular! The hot chocolate is 100 times better than what you get at Starbucks. Everything was perfect.

Leaving. That’s all. I didn’t want to leave!
