    Pros +

    • Excellent Location
    • The hotel was very clean and comfortable and well located in the center of Lisbon, close to a major train station. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet wonderful. In addition, there was a very nice Italian restaurant next door.
    • Great staff and very helpful.

    Cons -

    • Small rooms, bar closes at 11 pm -- early for European standards
    • Issues with the doors locking, needs weren’t comfortable, room temperature was too high with no way to adjust.
    • Room was very dark, very small and had awkward layout. Bathtub drain was not working well. AC was not working. Staff was ok but not very professional and knowledgeable. I would not book again. Location was excellent.

The manager was vey accommodating and gave the customer service we Americans expect. Booking.com did not show that you had to buy a massage in order to use the Turkish bath and she was able to arrange for me to use it when it was available. I really appreciated that as it worked really well and she also included the breakfast for miscommunication on booking.com. The staff was also very helpful and spoke English. They went out their way to make sure I had a more than pleasant stay.

I would totally change the policy to having the Turkish bath open for all guest maybe during a certain time slot. And maybe change the pillows on the bed to smaller more comfortable pillows.

It is always clean and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. It is in a great location, right where we wanted to be.

The location, staff and breakfast! Also, the cleanliness.

It just needs a little updating especially the hallway carpets, they are a little worn. That’s all.

The air-conditioning was too hot ?

The design and location are excellent. The creativity of the room as well.

It was not that clean and some of the facilities were not working - sockets, window shields, etc. The bathroom and cleaness was ok, but not clean.

The location is everything!! Love how well central this hotel is and how cosy and comfortable the rooms are. Will recommend staying here if you want to be in the Rossio area - very close to the metro.

The hotel is in a great location—you can walk to everything, and the general surrounding area is flat. The hotel staff were very nice.

We stayed at seven different hotels on our trip, and we were pretty excited for this one; however, it did not meet our expectations and was the worst out of all we stayed at. The room is quite small and very dark (others say how dark it is—they weren't kidding!). Additionally, you cannot control your own A/C or heat; the front desk has to do it for you. We sweat nearly to death every night and even after calling down to the front desk to ask that they turn it on, it would go on... then off again. We contemplated switching hotels because of this. :( Also, there is just ONE (yes, ONE!) outlet in the entire room, and it was only on the right side of the bed. We had phones to charge, camera batteries, external battery packs, etc. and this was not fun. What hotel only has one outlet?! I've never seen that before. Also, we kept getting whiffs of rat in the bathroom...For such a "nice" and quite pricey hotel, definitely stay elsewhere.

Great staff and great facility.. i read the reviews and was concerned about the noise. I can assure you once inside it is silence

To be honest everything was cool..probably a suggestion is to invest in rooftop..not accessible or at least didn’t have a chance to visit, but considering the location it would add big value

It is a decent hotel, in a good location. Room was big, with good storage space. Metro station was very close and plenty of restaurants around. Breakfast was decent, nothing special, but was cheap.

It was the first hotel I stayed at where the hotel management decided that customers are too stupid to adjust the air conditioning themselves, so if you want to change the temperature in the room or turn it on/off you have to call the reception. Regarding calling, the phone didn't work, I told them twice and nothing was solved, so I had to go down to the reception. In the bathroom, the water from the shower flows next to the door because it doesn't close properly, I saw the problem described in other comments, so they don't even want to fix it. In short, the price is a bit high for the services offered.

The room, the location, the amenities…

The Staff working at welcoming and service at Breakfast lounge have always sullen face for 4 days.

    9MatteoPosted on: 9-22-2025

Clean, comfortable rooms and the best location possible! Breakfast was convenient, good but somewhat limited in choices

Rooms and hallways a bit dark due to the fig tree theme. The staff was nice but need more training as they are inexperienced and gave us a lot of wrong information when asking about the area
