room and hallways dark, unpleasant smell

The hotel was well situated and the room was equipped with still water and a nespresso machine.

Room and bathroom smelled like sewage the entire stay. Construction going on that was noisy. Sheets and towels had stains. No one helped with luggage or opened front door. No robes in room. Not a 5 star experience at all.

This hotel is magnificent - kind staff, beautiful library bar where you can craft your own cocktails, excellent location and within walking distance of everything in town. Such a cool place and worth every penny.

Nothing - was perfect

Good location with easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping. The hotel is well-designed and comfortable for a short stay.

The stay was good, but it didn’t fully meet expectations for the price. A few areas felt average, and the experience wasn’t very memorable.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I specifically loved the coziness and sexiness of the library and the location cannot be beat!

Browns is a luxurious, beautifully decorated hotel.The staff, every staff member that I interacted with, were 100% professional and classy and in keeping 5 star service. The breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant also beautifully designed from lighting to furniture choices to plants....the music was perfect for a relaxing breakfast, and honestly, I did not want to leave. Restaurant staff were elegant in demeanor, movement and dress and service.The room we booked was the least expensive, we were only staying the night. The bed was comfortable and the sheets crisp and high quality. One more plus, The doors to the rooms closed quitely, which means, you can leave someone sleeping undisturbed if you want to leave your room.We Live in Portugal and go to Lisbon often. We decided to try Browns because we had things to do in that neighbourhood. Situated one street away from Avenida da Liberdade it was easy to walk to everything we needed. All the luxury brands are there!And they have parking, (valet).

We loved the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop pool, the library and the restaurant / bar area was lovely. Good selection at breakfast and we enjoyed our free welcome cocktail. We also loved the idea of honor bar.

The only thing i have to say is that our room had a strong perfumey odor. Some may like this, im very sensitive to smells. We told the front desk that we moved the diffuser out of the room and it definitely helped to make it not smell too strong.

Fantastic soundproofing — the room was perfectly quiet despite being on a busy main road. That really made the stay relaxing.The room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay.

There was a tea/coffee setup with a kettle and cups, but the jar of tea bags was completely empty on arrival and wasn’t refilled during the stay. The wardrobe is quite short; it’s not possible to hang longer items such as coats or dresses without them touching the floor. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and cannot be adjusted from the room, which made it a bit too cold (or too warm) at times. Housekeeping unfortunately did not replenish the complimentary bottled water or the vanity kit, .on a daily basis — we had to call reception each day. there is no dental kit and sewing kit.

I had an uncomfortable encounter with one receptionist when I first arrived, but the rest of the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming

Cleaness is very good. Location is amaizing just a few step from Avenida da Liberdade. Chiado.Baixa e bairro alto. Restaurant is very good with great value for money and great variaty at breakfast ! I deeply receomend

Room was quite small, I would upgrade to a bigger room if I were to stay here again.
