Jardim da Lapa by Shiadu

The staff were friendly and helpful. I like that the property had to be accessed by a security door, not that the area seemed unsafe at all. The surrounding area was quiet, as it is located in a more residential area.

You can hear every noise from every other guest. We had a couple of younger girls staying across from our room and had to notify hotel staff a couple of times of them being way too loud. You can also hear anyone above you, as the floors are wooden. The breakfast wasn't that great

The outside of the building is beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.

From the photos, I expected a bit more of a boutique hotel experience, however it fell a bit short. Our room had mold on the walls. The beds were uncomfortable, and you could hear most noises on the hallways and in the rooms above you. The room need more lamps at night, and the AC kept turning down during the evening. Additionally, if it rains, you have to walk in the rain to get to the reception.

I had a fantastic day and would highly recommend the property. I found past reviews of the breakfast somewhat odd as it was exceptional. I fully support all reviews of the staff is being exceptional as well. The room was comfortable, and the neighborhood was safe and quiet.

This is not necessarily a negative of the property, just a piece of advice for those looking to stay near the walkable tourist zone. It is a little further out, and while I was easily able to walk, it did take about 30 minutes and is not necessarily near a lively zone. This is great for rest, and of course if you're looking to be in that specific neighborhood, but just a heads up it's a bit further from the central area.

The property was a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the city. Our room was clean and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very kind.

Everything was so wonderful. The staff was absolutely phenomenal. Jonathan was without a doubt very helpful and kind. This was my first time traveling alone and I was really anxious and Jonathan really helped put me at ease. The breakfast was excellent, very delicious.

The only thing that was uncomfortable, was the bed, it was very, very firm. Staff putative comforter under the sheets for me and that was helpful.

Breakfast, meat option was not inclusive. Pork-only.No fish-based alternative, especially given we are in Portugal.

The property was a lovely surprise, there is a beautiful pool and garden area. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The location was not ideal as it was a residential area without restaurants.

Jardim da Lapa is a hidden gem in the district of Embassies. You enter through the garden door and are immediately relaxed. The tall trees are full of birds and fruit, The lawn is dotted with available sun loungers and the pool is blue and inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are delicious, filling and varied. The hammam was available with 10 mins notice and everything was clean and well maintained. We stayed 3 nights and felt very relaxed by the time we left.

The pool was cold, but to be expected in April! Very refreshing when alternating between pool and hammam.Not the hotel's fault, but if you are not an EU traveller the airport queues are horrendous and the driver we booked couldn't wait.

Nice breakfast, friendly staff, lovely garden and pool. The steam room is a great added bonus. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet and feels very safe.

The room was a little small, but very comfy. The pool wasn’t heated which is a shame as a previous booking.com Q+A suggested it would be from March, so no real opportunity to use the pool.

Friendly staff, good services, spotless, great location

I book queen size bed which i always book, i came late at night first there was no parking anywhere on that public street i asked staff they said go to other roads and find there final i found far paid parking, then i after after change i laid on bed and bed had gap in middle i i thought its broken but i was shocked it was not queen bed it was two full beds two matter put side by side to make it wider but it was still short in length for me plus gap in middle, next morning i told to staff and he said queen bed is always like that two mattress put side by side…he thinks i was an idiot so he can tell any story, they do scams be careful .

Common areas were very nicely furnished. Staff was exceptional.

We had a fantastic stay at Jardim do Lapa! Everything was great from start to finish. The place is cozy and welcoming, with beautiful, clean, and comfortable rooms, plus an amazing pool. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help — it truly feels like staying with family. They even remembered my preferences, which made the stay feel extra special. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!
