    Pros +

    • Great location, nice property, loved the wine/ grapes theme flowing through the entire hotel offering. Also very nice small surprises in the room every evening (a small drink and some sweets).
    • Stunning building and rooms. Great location.
    • They are all about the little details to make you feel like a valued guest. Every night a sweet treat is waiting for you to enjoy. I looked forward to it every evening after a long day of sight seeing. Every staff member is there to assist you with anything you need. I had some bumps in the road on this holiday ( nothing to do with this establishment)and they were there with suggestions to help.

    Cons -

    • Staff was kind, but not very well trained for a 5 star hotel. Front desk didn't follow-up timely on our requests, they were quite pushy always asking if we brought back the hotel umbrella, restaurant staff was forgetting often to bring things to the table... Rooms nice but quite basic, limited amenities. Definitely not what one would expect for this price point.
    • No outdoor areas
    • room service offering limited

Such a lovely and convenient location. Super luxurious hotel with very friendly staff. The customer service was tops and I really loved the little touch of the little treats they would leave in your room each day!

Fantastic location close to a beautiful park/overlook with food and drink vendors. My room was enormous with a deep soak tub and separate shower. My King bed slept like a dream. The restaurant serves fresh and local food. I can't say enough about the accommodating staff and management. 10+ across the board.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, especially for the value. Beautifully designed old manor house refashioned as a hotel—they’ve kept a lot of wonderful architectural flourishes from the original building while still making it a very comfortable hotel with good-sized rooms and all the modern amenities you’d want. Right in the heart of the trendy Bairro Alto neighborhood and across the street from a plaza with sweeping views across the city, the location could not be better and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful too. I Cannot recommend this highly enough!

Pros: Excellent location. Very friendly staff (particularly Pedro). Great dining experience at Federico (particularly the carrot-in-different-textures dish). Our corner room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Nice sheets, towels, and room temperature. The view was incredible and we particularly enjoyed the Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom, as well as the his-and-hers sinks. We also loved the detail of the daily pastry/wine left by housekeeping.

Cons: Breakfast should start before 7:30am and dinner should end later than 10pm.

One of my best sleeps in a while. Nice thick doors, carpeting outside, shutters on the window. In the heart of the city, but oh so peaceful. Luxurious bathroom. Staff attentive, efficient and very friendly. Wonderful bar downstairs with great staff. A place to spoil yourself, while being in the buzz of it all.

    Not a thing.

Everything. five star hotel as it relates to service which was impeccable. historic facility was beautiful and comfortable. location was central for touring the seven hills. perfect.

Breakfast was amazing! The breakfast area is really beautiful, charming and cozy. The staff was very helpful and solicit.

The only thing that could get a little better was the bathroom. When wet, the floor felt like liquid soap. I slipped and almost got really hurt.

Lovely hotel, great service, friendly staff, comfy facilities and the wine experience was nice. The hotel is in a good location, in the heart of the town with all the interesting sights within reasonable walking distance

Not enough on the breakfast menu for my liking but its okay.
