Vincci Alfama

The hotel was very centrally located and near a lot of bars and restaurants. It was easily accessible by multiple methods of transport but was in a part of town which does not allow vehicles. We loved this as it made the area feel very traditional and authentic and we were never having to look out for traffic.

The only critique, which is very minor, is that both room service and laundry are outsourced which meant that using them was more complicated. This only affected us on one evening and we were only very mildly inconvenienced by it.

The staff at this hotel are amazing and go out of their way to support anything you need and make you feel at home. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed and have all the delicious luxuries: bathrobes, fancy ample toiletries, a lovely writing desk nook.

We could not drive to the property due to a boom

A great hotel with a particularly kind and welcoming team of staff. My stay was midweek in January and at times it felt as thought I was the only guest in the hotel (I wasn't, as was proved when I went to breakfast and saw other guests). The staff (everyone I dealt with) were helpful beyond expectation, recommending shops I needed, and which type of taxi would be best. My hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I slept extremely well in this hotel, and was made to feel welcome and cared about at all times.

My only issue was that the volume on my tv couldn't be accessed when I tried to use Netflix from my phone. A member of staff kindly spent a while trying to fix this for me and reported the issue to maintenance. I think the issue was a temporary problem with my particular tv. Other than that, I really couldn't fault my time here.

The hotel was beautiful with stylish decor and latest facilities . Super clean, wonderful staff who were very helpful as well as friendly. The breakfasts were superb! The location was perfect in old Alfama, close to some very good restaurants ( one opposite the main door) and over the road from the hotel is a new bar/eatery with launderette facilities if you want to travel light - genius

Everything was great!

The staff was amazing. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. A special thank you to Joana at reception that went above and beyond with suggestions, directions etc. Rita from the breakfast room is such a special caring person with beautiful personality and beautiful presentation of the food. The food was delicious! She went out of her way to make our stay over the Christmas holiday feel at home and extra special. Special thanks to Daniel that greeted us the night we arrived and to Flavio for assisting us with the purchase of or train tickets. Thank you to the entire staff. Staff were extremely helpful and room was clean and very cozy. I would recommend and definitely stay here again. We travel to Portugal often to visit family.

It was further from plaza than i had hoped but the walk was not to bad.

Small thing is that Uber/Bolt can’t get exactly to the entrance, due to limitation of historical area.

Location, nicely modernly decorated, super clean, comfortable bed, great snacks, very very friendly & helpful staff.

Reception staff so helpful and friendly. We arrived early and asked if we could leave our luggage before we checked in and we were upgraded and given our room early which was so kind. We were also given a map of the city. Room lovely and modern and spotlessly clean and we were left a couple of cakes which were delicious. Bed very comfortable and big.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. As in a previous review a kettle would be a nice added addition in the room, however we did ask and were given one to use.

The service, the location and everything was included

Only thing is that it is a bit difficult to reach by car, but the tram is very close

Lovely hotel in a good location and within walking distance of visitor attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, hotel was extremely clean and modern with lovely extra touches.

Tea making facilities in the room would have been a bonus ... not everyone is a coffee drinker!
