Subject: Feedback on My Stay at Jugendherberge City-Hostel Köln-RiehlDear Team,My stay at the hostel was unfortunately not satisfactory. The environment was very noisy, especially at night — children were running in the hallways and knocking on doors, making it difficult to sleep or rest.Because of this situation, I decided to leave the hostel on October 29, two days earlier than planned, which caused me to lose two paid nights.However, I would like to mention that the reception staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay.The location was also quite far from Koelnmesse, which made daily travel difficult.I hope the management will take steps to improve guest comfort and ensure a quieter environment in the future.Best regards,Muhammad Tanveer

The Front-desk and the guy from the bar were friendly

That the cleaning staff took my PJ's and towel. I was able to retrieve them though when checking out.

I like the property i was in a room of 4 beds, it is very clean and the beds weren’t squeaky and the staff are very friendly.

The location is great, breakfast is tasty, and the rooms are very good.

I didn’t have a good experience at this hostel. The location is great, breakfast is tasty, and the rooms are very good, but my check-in experience was terrible.I arrived around 11:30 p.m., and there was no receptionist, only a security guard at the entrance. Even after showing my booking confirmation in the app and explaining the conversation I had with a receptionist prior to my arrival, the security guard confirmed that my reservation didn't exist but said he couldn’t do anything to help. I honestly don’t understand this. In the end, I had to pay extra just to access my room.This whole situation was extremely frustrating and ruined part of my trip. The next day, I was able to get a refund and continue my stay, but the stress and inconvenience could have been avoided.I strongly advise double-checking your reservation before arriving, especially if you’re checking in late at night. After 11:30 p.m., there may be no receptionist available, which could lead to major problems.

The check-in and check-out process was exceptionally quick and easy, and the staff were really great and helpful. We loved chill vibes at the hostel and, although it was quite busy with school kids and students, it was surprisingly quiet and calm during the night. The room was clean, no complaints about the bathroom (bit outdated and modest, but clean and fully functional).

My only complaint is that I think the breakfast lacked variety, e.g. there was only one or two types of fruit, eggs only the last two days.

Responsive personel on the booking chat, location, building facilities, very clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast buffet type with different kinds of cheese, different kinds of ham, bread, butter, different jams, vegetables, fruits, yogurts, milk, tea, coffe machines for all kinds of coffees and hot chocolate.

Everything was very nice and clean, I couldn’t find anything I don’t like.If I’m going to go to Klön again, I’ll definitely choose here again.Usually you need to charge a bit for female room, but here just separated without charging more, and even included nice breakfast. Not far from the city center.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very clean, and it made the stay quite enjoyable. Facilities in the hostel are nice additions. Would recommend to a friend.

The breakfast was really good and sufficient. Better to eat by 9am.The room was clean and of good size and clean. The room has a nice view of the green riverbank and Rhine river.

They should have allowed to bring it from outside and eat inside. The meals they are serving for lunch and dinner are not sufficient.

check out was swift

booking was misleading, though i booked single room but it was a dorm. i specifically asked for this prior to arriving. so i end up spending double the amount at my late check in. very disappointing

It’s located in a park at the riverside, giving you a quiet vibe from the hectic city. The breakfast buffet is decent considering the German standard.

- The material of bed mattress: I thought it was wet at first then realised it wasn’t. Still I don’t like the mattress…- If you’re a girl travelling alone, you’d naturally have doubts about the safety walking from the nearest tram station to the hostel, as it was dark and there’re usually not many people in this area.

A comfortable Hostel to rest, the environment is quiet, the staff are extremely helpful and assisted us in finding a safe parking spot for our motorcycle, and the wifi in our room was good considering the fact that we were on the sixth level. On top of that, the breakfast was fantastic.??

The location, cleanliness and price

Toilet was small

Was clean, comfortable, near the central station Cologne, köln.But we have no internet in the 5 floor.

There is no internet service on the fifth floor, and when I went to the receptionist, she told me to pay fifty percent more in order to get a room on the fourth floor, where there is internet. Unfortunately, this is exploitation and lack of credibility.

The hotel's outdoor area and garden are very spacious and perfect for spending time. The breakfast is good.

Some of the staff at the reception were really rude, especially during my check-out. Unfortunately, even though I kindly asked for just one extra hour, they said it would cost 30 Euros and didn’t allow it. I had to leave in a hurry.
