Hotel Wilms

Wonderful place run by a great innkeeper and her partner. They were friendly, patient, and helpful.The room was spacious and comfortable and had a fridge and a hot water pot.Breakfast was a good deal for a classic German breakfast. Fresh brötchen, cold cuts, cheese, juice (I recommend the multi-vitaminsaft), a boiled egg, coffee or tea, fruit, yogurt, and müsli. There is the option of using your phone as your room and front door key or they will issue you a regular key card if you prefer. The location is a little outside the most dense sections of Köln, but it is quiet, a short walk to the U-Bahn (above ground at this location) and a quick ride into central Köln.There is one very good restaurant, a bakery and a fast food joint a few hundred meters away but a little further for anything like a supermarket or a pharmacy. Make sure you get what you need for the night before you head back to the hotel.We spent four days here and were very happy with our stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

It was extremely clean. The lady owner is a very nice and polite person.

A very poor breakfast and only three English channels ( all with news) on television. The first night, I took a cold shower as the other guests must have used all the hot water. The gentleman in charge of the premises wasn’t as pleasant as we would have hoped which is very unfortunate .

The rooms were large and the beds were large also and very comfortable. The location is like a small village and very beautiful. The transport links are also excellent to Stuttgart city centre and very cheap to travel on the public transport

It was only a bit too noisy. But the hotel is relatively small and rooms are next to each other so quite understandable. Hosts are very welcoming and caring so it compensates :-)

Breakfast is very good, the staff are very polite and welcome, room is cozy and quite good too.

We stayed at the 3rd floor and my wife is pregnant.

Very clean, confortable, friendly staff. The place is near a metro/tram station and is easy to move to the city center.

Cozy, family hotel in a calm area with an extremely friendly staff.

The hotel Wilms is located in a quiet suburb in the outskirts of Cologne. While there aren't a lot of big attractions nearby, there is a tram only 5 minutes walk from the hotel that takes you to downtown Cologne in about 15 minutes or so.The room was very comfortable, well equipped, and extremely clean! The staff were also friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Cologne at an affordable price.

Nice breakfast. Modern, clean bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Not far from the tram.

The hotel was great. Clean, comfortable, all furniture was selected with taste and relatively new. Nothing better than a hot shower after a long day! Breakfast was also amazing, a wide range of things and the owners were lovely. Absolutely recommend!

Rooms are sparkling clean, spacious, and staff is really kind and available.

Perhaps breakfast was a bit limited, due to the fact that we were almost the only one booking on those dates.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable, the bottled water was welcome. The lady who welcomed me to the hotel was exceptionally helpful. Location was good for my place of business.

It isnt the fault of the hotel but it should be noted that everything in the locality is closed on a Sunday and Monday although there is information in the room on ordering food in, and ordering a taxi to go out ( although I just used Uber). Perhaps it would be worth considering some tea/coffee making facilities in the room,

The hotel is away from the city centre, but was good for my work location so enabled me to walk in in the morning. Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean, comfortable and a good size.

The hotel provides a breakfast, but there is no bar or restaurant, and people should bear in mind that in that locality if you have no car there are no bars/restaurants/shops open on a Sunday or Monday. Its not a criticism, its just how it is.
