The staff was truly amazing. Very friendly very helpful.

It seems like they used a little bit cheap materials, and I need to renovate it again.

Amazing hotel with the friendliest staff you’ll ever get! They helped us with our questions and were super helpful! I will definitely stay in this hotel again! Some little things like a tv remote that broke or some stains on the curtains but nothing that bothered us too much. If you find yourself needing a beautiful hotel for a good price, do consider this! Also definitely get the breakfast! It was amazing! (I attached a photo!)

Cool design, quiet and spacious room.Staff were so friendly and helpful - Sophie and Tim went beyond to make us feel welcome! The breakfast is outstanding- they make a platter as in the photos shown. Good location of hotel, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

All was good

I loved the vibe, the facilities, the atmosphere, the staff, the parking, the location.

Loud neighbors. Strange smell inside the room. We were sent an email saying that if we didn’t check in by a specific time then the reservation would be canceled however when we arrived the room was not ready and we had to wait about 20 more minutes. The staff was so kind and offered multiple beverages while we waited.

Upon arrival we were told that the room wasn't ready yet and it was going to take another two hours after which we were offered a discount as well as free drinks and breakfast the following morning. Once we got back from our stroll in the center, the room still wasn't ready after which we were offered more free drinks and they were very apologetic and accommodating. The room itself is very spacious and clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and the rain shower is just amazing. All in all they were the absolute nicest offering us free drinks, breakfast, parking and a discount only because the room took a few extra hours to prepare. Thank you for everything!

The room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious.The hotels unique theme and design is well implemented with attention to detail. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very convenient location with tram and train connections to get to the inner city within walking distance.

Weird sewage smell when draining the bath

Everything was wonderful. The bartender and desk agents were both delightful and informative. The facilities were very nice and the rooms were excellent. We very much enjoyed our one night here at Black Hotels Koln.

Honestly nothing. Everything at the hotel was very well appointed and the snack served with our beer from the bar was a very nice addition.

Bathroom was nice . Shower leaked abit ti the outside .Bed was hard but I know that’s Europe ?

Lunch and dinner not available

The rooms are huge with a bathtub on the second level. The staff members were great, helpful and attentive. The design is definitely a big plus point and they build pretty much everything around it. The beds were comfy and breakfast was great.

It needs some maintenance. I understand that they want the full black design and to get that they improvised here and there. For example in the showers they should have used stone tiles instead of some plastic whatever tiles. Also the paint job was here and there done poorly (for example the ventilation in the bathroom).

Bad service from staff in reception and for kichen

Staff lady in reception was bad service and scream to customer i order for breakfast order when check in and when come to eat wait 20 mins food not come and i ask she speak very bad and say must to wait and i start to ask again how my food order she say she will kick me of from hotel I ask money back for breakfast they say chef not give back so it very bad service in this hotel I really upset because room i pay expensive 200 euro and no staff service in hotel Was very bad service After you check in when you sent messege no one reply it really bad service hotel I not recommand ..

The room looked nice, good bed with decent pillows and blankets. The bathroom had a nice shower and toilet. The bathtub was spacious as well. The curtains kept the room dark, and when closing the middle door it blocked out sound from the hallway well.The aesthetic is a nice change from sterile corporate hotels.

Over the course of a 6 night stay, they never cleaned the room. They only made up the bed with the same sheets, but that was it. On top of that the only time they somewhat seemed to have cleaned, they threw away our receipts from the travel, including the one from their security deposit.Doors don't seem to close by themselves due to the weight pulling down on the hinges, so they need lifting to get them in the lock. We woke up three times to our door being left open, despite the do not disturb sign being on. There was also one occurrence of the staff waking us up at 10am, again with the do not disturb sign on, to verify the amount of people in the room. This happened in a rather rude and unprofessional matter.The bathroom had poor ventilation, which prevented the towels from drying. So despite requesting new towels by placing them on the floor, they rolled up our used, damp ones and put them on the shelve as new. We know for sure due to shaving cuts. We mentioned this to the reception, yet we had to request fresh towels every single day.One night we woke up and encountered a big cockroach in the middle of the bathroom.The water supply seems connected between rooms, so whenever someone in another room flushes or uses cold water, your shower temperature shoots up to burning temperature.We took a bath on the second day, and they never cleaned the tub, nor did they even went upstairs and clean up the used glasses and empty glass bottles.The wall mounted TV had signs of an electric fire, which combined with the domotica light switches not always working, tempered our confidence to plug in out own electronic devices.Despite it being a non smoking hotel, we noticed a lot of smoking smells, especially in the hallway.

The all over decor of the hotel is beautifully, the smell, super helpful staff. The room itself was spectacular, with a huge comfy bed, freestanding bath tub, shower and a loft are with desk and armchair.

Location and facilities such as the bath and shower were excellent. Close to the stadium in Cologne and very cool decor.

Floor was next to car park and windows thin, unfortunately we could hear noise throughout the night.

I picked this hotel because it is located close to a concert venue and it has parking available (12Euro/night in an open lot). The location is far from the centre - if that's what you are looking for, but there are plenty of very cool little restaurants, cafes and parks within 10-15min walk. The room concept is nice, I liked the duplex style, the space is huge and the bed very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating, their English could be a bit better. I appreciated the free water/coffee and candy available-that was a nice touch.

At such a high price-point, parking should be free and breakfast should be included in the room rate. This is not really a luxury hotel! Room finishes are very sloppy (slanted shelves, for example) and the bathroom smelled horribly of sewage. Thankfully there is a door between the hallway/bathroom and the main part of the room.The towels need urgent replacement: they were full of holes, tears and stains (they were clean, just extremely worn-I've never seen such a thing in a hotel)!! This was the biggest red flag for me. They do not accept AMEX.

The cleanliness of the rooms were superb throughout the whole stay, nothing was missed. The staff are super kind and have your best interest in mind. The rooms are stunning and the photos do not do it justice, the location is well situated at an 18 minute drive from old town cologne or a 5 mins walk to the leydendecker st station. The bar is 24/7 and the staff will serve drinks at all hours for a very reasonable price

The only thing I didn't like was that the mini fridge and the coffee machine share the same plug socket, so you choose between. Likely to be personal to my experience but the room that we had, had a lamp on the right hand side of the bed that was damaged and needed to be propped up against the headboard.

Friendly staff, nice designer lobby, spacious room

A lot of the room and hallway interior had significant signs of wear, shoddy repairs, strange odours, superficial cleaning. No closets of any kind! Just a clothing rack with hangers and a small bench. Pillows were uncomfortable and provided no support. Mini fridge with glass door (red bull promo fridge) was not plugged in and when powered it was extremely loud and too bright for sleeping, so we had to unplug it at night. The upper area of the big loft was mostly useless space with just a small desk. Window view at an ugly parking lot with no privacy screen. Window curtains were rubbish as both the blinding curtain and the sunscreen curtain were on the same rail. Mood lights in the shower area could not be turned off for sleeping. No hairdryer.

Spectacular, very impressive, invoked a location from a book I'm writing. Clean, cool layout, all expected amenities, quiet (both hallway and other rooms), lovely false patio that let in a delightful breeze. Beds were comfortable, rug was soft. Breakfast was well worth the price, gorgeously presented. S

Honestly, the only thing that would have been nice would have been nightstand-adjacent USB charging ports.
